The 8 players comment really annoyed me. All that does is pushes the youngsters down the pecking order. Is he saying that Hutchinson, Watson, Sibley, festy, Kornell even bird and Buchanan aren’t good enough? As a fan and Simone who wants the youngsters to thrive and have opportunities I’m sorry, I simply don’t want eight new signings.
    Just my view.

Shinnie cripples build up play in the current system and his protection of the back four is overrated.

My comment is because we are trying to get on the ball a lot more the play just breaks down with Shinnie far far too often than you can afford for a player playing that roll. Too often does he either lose the ball, the person he passes to loses the ball quickly (i.e. a bad pass to them) or he really slows the game down when it comes to him. Thing is this problem is going to get worse once teams start targetting him because he is fairly easy to set pressing traps around. As we progress into this new style he needs to get phased out of the starting 11.
He won that award because he's the type of player who looks good in a bad team. If everything is a scrap and a fight with the ball not sticking whatsoever he looks good because it plays to his strengths but if you aren't careful he can quickly look out of place if you are trying to control the game in any fashion. He has value to the team for sure but not in the starting 11 (especially if we keep with the current tactics and formation).

The first time in a long time that I've actually bet on Derby to win. The odds are too good value. If we win then I'll keep it up until we go up as Champions.

My hunch is a face saving deal has been reached but that requires new audit sign off after changes, hence the extension and much less combative statement from the EFL.
That, or, the EFL didn't want my Hull City match day thread being hijacked by accounts news.

Why do the same people make more mistakes in one environment and less mistakes in another environment? Management!
People are more likely to make mistakes: in unfamiliar roles; or where they are uncertain what their role is; or where they lack confidence in what they are doing. All these are issues to be addressed by proper management.
If our players often look clueless, perhaps it's because nobody's given them a clue.

Bris, blaming the players only carries credence if you’re looking at the game on paper and not watching it with your own eyes. In the same way we used to trigger you by discrediting Pep and saying its all about the players, for you to kick off… well this is the same but on opposite end of spectrum.

we know when players are performing and when they’re confused and when they’re being lazy… under Cocu and now under Rooney, it’s been clear the players are not organised, not confident and not motivated.

I think you're underplaying the importance of a manager. Look what Leeds's manager did with a bunch of Championship players. When it's 1 or 2 players who aren't quite right you could put it down to the individuals issues, but if it's pretty much the whole squad you have to question other things.
Also I could be wrong but I don't think Byrne and Marshall are that close for it to be affecting Byrne's performance.

I don't think you are getting my point. I agree they are individual mistakes. But I am saying that individual mistakes happen more often in an environment that is conducive to mistakes. My point is that, over time, the amount of mistakes that people make comes down to their mental state, which is heavily influenced by how they are managed.
For every goal in every game you can point to a mistake which caused the goal. From that point of view every defeat is down to individual mistakes. But if players on one team (wearing white and black) keep making more mistakes than their opponents then that is a management issue.
