Well that’s a lawsuit!
in these days of litigation, deciding fixtures on the pitch is so 2020. -

Just been looking across forums and social media, gauge the reaction from the Boro side to the statement made tonight.
If they believed Gibson had a strong case, surely the reaction would be to say bring it on, but that's not the case at all.
The majority are not interested, he can't do that, doesn't mean it, even no to arbitration, just pay up with the £40m figure being banded around.
Did come across a few that would prefer to see this dropped completely, but as I say the majority appear to be more interested in extortion with the backing from Forest and Leeds fans.
I would hope that Gibson has bigger balls than his own fans, and the desire to see his claims of systematic cheating proven in a court of law.
What does he have to lose?
Continue his claims through arbitration where his counsel is not free until May, which by that point we could be liquidated and wouldn't see a penny anyway.
There is no bidder willing to pay extortion money, so this is the best offer he has of seeing a penny of what he thinks he's owed.
Anyhow, 1am that's enough. Weekend off now with Twitter notifications on for the EFL Comms account to see what the EFL's true intentions are for this club.
Great expression… ‘extortion money’.
I’ve always wondered where the hell does he think this ‘£40 million’ was going to come from?

I have no idea if the claims are proven or not, the EFl statement doesn’t provide that information.
someone may take the pragmatic view that a reasonable settle figure may be worth paying in order to proceed with a takeover.
Pragmatism is to do with logic. These spurious claims are not logical.

Was a big fan of Jags, but let’s face it his lack of height means he would not likely to have won that header like Stearman did for the equaliser assist.

Stop talking about the two parasites as if they have a claim. They don’t.
EFL claim to represent all the league clubs. They cannot sit on the fence and allow their members to sue each other. There would be no end to it.
I don’t know why they haven’t put it to the vote. ‘Should member clubs be able to sue each other, yes or no?’
That would put an end to it. -
You always get an email before the game regarding all information about what is required. Well, I do anyway.?

But it isn’t solely to do with passing fancies. You may have moved several hundreds of miles and decided to go and watch your new local team. So you are just being practical. You are allowed to support more than one team! I’m not talking about a Derby fan who moved to Nottingham, or a Spurs fan who moved from North London to South London. If you wouldn’t ever consider supporting your adopted local team, in a different part of the country, even after decades, maybe the reason is you don’t actually care much for the sport. That’s leaving aside those who don’t even support their local team, but another, for whatever reason.

This is all so childish and unsavoury. Are we reduced to personal vendettas and name calling whilst at the same time one of the twelve founder members of the Football League could potentially go out of business?

Are we not named after the cricket ground? Derbyshire County?

Pubehead has a history of collusion, here he tried to get the Leeds chairman to join him in suing over the stadium sale.
Just goes to show the murky world of backroom deals and pile-ons we're dealing with.
But Gibson has done plenty of creative accounting himself. Plus the stadium sale was deemed kosher.
That made him move on to the amortisation method, which was initially rubber stamped by the EFL.- RadioactiveWaste and RoyMac5

Everton are hedging their bets. Ferguson is in charge until they get their man. They probably still hope Martinez can break free, they still have to interview Frank, if that is the case. Clearly he would give a fantastic interview.
If it’s Wayne they decide on, they would surely prefer to see how the next few weeks pan out. Our club might even be liquidated.- Ken Tram and RadioactiveWaste

Just finished listening to that ....... Not an interview just a platform for Couhig to sound off on. Doesn't sound like he wants it to go down the legal route, just after a quick payoff to settle.
He’s conveniently claiming ignorance of Boro’s claim. A ‘quick pay off’ is not an option, due to the knock on effect with Boro. He can Foxtrot Oscar.

Graham Richards was a top barrister and ultimately became a high court judge, that’s why. Ed’s a local journo, tried, probably had lots of stuff on, thought it would be just a chat, he wasn’t prepared for Couhig turning it into an aggressive negotiation, which is what that was.
Claiming ignorance of Boro’s claim (yeah that’s believable) allowed him to sidestep the obvious inference. If we bow to Wycombe, to any extent, we will by extension need to bow to Boro.
This would be intolerable to any prospective buyer. And he knows it. He isn’t stupid. -
Potter has apparently said he’s happy at Brighton.

Don’t think he has turned them down, Belgian powers that be refusing permission for Everton to speak to him…
Let’s face it, if he wants the job, he’ll stamp his feet.

Yeah he’ll go to the front of the queue by offering to pay the administrators LESS won’t he?
He really knows how to curry favour doesn’t he?
Doesn’t look like he’s learnt anything at Newcastle after all.
