Gerry Daly reacted to May Contain Nuts in The Administration Thread
One of the posters saying that no bidder would risk the Boro claims was me, said people were living in fantasy land if they thought anyone would just tell Gibson to eff off, regardless that the claim seemed like (and was) baseless nonsense.
You say the administrators didn't foresee that or deal with that quickly enough, but of course they did. Their idea to resolve it was cross-class cramp down - a perfectly valid legal solution, so why should they anticipate the EFL refusing it? Of course that's hindsight speaking!
Would love to know exactly what power you think they had to remove the claims any other way?  Oh right... talking to people more! They could have clarified things with the EFL before the meeting, but then what? They'd still be at an impasse with no way forward until the claims were dealt with.
They could talk until they were blue in the face, but it wasn't in their gift to make Morris/Gibson come to an agreement, they can't force other people to act!
Now the people living in fantasy land are the ones who are thinking that the administrators could have moved things along any quicker than they did up to the point of the EFL stealth-admitting they held a position in support of Boro (remember they claimed for months to know nothing of the claim!) and the actions taken by MM / Gibson.
The EFL/Gibson had a clear plan to keep all this running as long into January as possible. The damage caused by that is significant, resulting in further delays and problems that we are dealing with currently.
Not that I expect you to accept that as fact, given your stance in past discussions.
I'm not saying you criticism of Quantuma isn't valid, but I am still going to say you're being unrealistic in your expectations - as perhaps Quantuma have also been.

I can understand that, having started support the Rams during the late 60s and early 70s, the third division days in the 80s would have seemed very dark, but to many of those who only started following the Rams after the late 70s, like me, the third division days weren't too bad at all.
In fact, they were a bit like this season.
After crowds had been dwindling, and performances getting steadily worse, the third division days were a turning point. Yes the first year wasn't great, but the seeds were sown then for a great second year, one that I I'll always remember fondly. Some of the away trips were awesome, like Lincoln, Gillingham and Rotherham. Filling every away end and winning matches. It was great being the opponents' Cup Final every away match.
Looking around the Derby fans at Ewood Park the other night, I was struck by how many young fans there were. I wonder how many of those wouldn't give anything for those 2 years we had in the old third division.
Most teams go down with a whimper, and a disillusioned fan base. They tend to be the ones that struggle. If we go down, if we get a new owner, and if, and it's a BIG if, we avoid a 15 point penalty, I think our fan base will see that as a positive, and will be up for it next season.
Wand whether it's Rooney or somebody else on charge next season, football has changed, and players will be available at lower prices and lower wages. The kind of players we would need to put a squad together (young hungry ambitious lower league players) would still see Derby as a great club to join. We would be a very big fish in Division One.
So whilst I don't want to go down, it certainly won't be the worst thing ever.

He is nowhere near as quick as Todd but he is a bit taller and better in the air. In other respects I can see the similarity, Todd was very strong and hardly ever, if ever lost a 50/50 ball. I think Buxton is a better comparison at the moment though

I don't think Villa were better than us. I thought Leeds and WBA were better than them and we beat both. If Lampard had picked Marriott instead of Bennett for the final I think we would have won

We have to take the positives out of this. I thought we played really well and showed loads of character and togetherness. Everyone is in it together. If we do go down this season we will have momentum and belief. But I think we can stay up
