Think Denmark making 5 changes fairly close together was their undoing. Well done Southgate and the team. That 'showboat' passing to run down the clock was superb. It's been mentioned the penalty was suspect. Compare that to a couple of the Danes holding their faces and going down like a sack of spuds

All this rubbish on social media about the penalty, if the Danes didn't have a world class keeper in goal they'd have lost by 3 goals. England fully deserved to win.

Honestly? I don't care. Tournament football is about winning and we won. I'll take a cynical win over glorious defeat any day.

First of all we need to win tonight which won't be easy. Would rather have played Spain, Italy will play a defensive game to try and stop us from playing football, they will foul players all the time, there players will go down injured when it suits them. At the end of the day the Italians still know  how to cheat and gamesmanship. As old Derby fans will remember from the European Cup Semi-Final against Juventus in 1973, And if Denmark do beat us then I want them to win it, I couldn't support the Italians in anything, still haven't forgive them for 1973. 

It's a real shame Spain went out as I'd have really fancied us against them as they're pretty poor in both boxes. Italy will be a real challenge for us and it'll take an epic performance and a bit of luck to beat them i think. They're a great side with real flair and attacking potency which is a nice move away from the traditional Italian style. I think we need to win in 90 minutes tonight to keep us nice and fresh so we can maybe capitalise and some of those older Italian legs especially in the defensive area. 

If Bielik comes back and can stay fit we might be alright, if we can also find someone who can score goals....
