No issues with the rest of your post, I'm generally on board with it even if it does veer into opinion dressed as fact territory.
This seems a very strange thing / a very minor issue to bring up though, it actually comes across a little as sour grapes that Jordon Ibe's getting paid to (not) play football while you're working your arse off (and fair play to you for it) delivering for Uber.
'Getting paid very well' is very subjective - we've been told it's a negligible amount compared to the rest of the squad. Also 'I wonder why...'  Bit vague, too open to interpretation (possibly suggests underhand dealings!) & goes against your claim to only be posting facts, not opinion.
If you know something we don't and can prove it (or at least tell us how you know), however...

Sorry probably right on that as I was vague. I am not going to comment on the facts with this one, but let's just say its an absolute sham and honestly has nothing to do with me working hard with Uber, all be it fairly easy...
With this one I would not open myself up to anything that would follow with what I had to say. Hopefully you will respect that and take my word for it that he is taking the absolute p**s out of Derby.

I can't imagine the money brings him much comfort for his ill health but presumably as he has plenty left we shouldn't be happy that he put all that money in?
Derby weren't exactly in a great state when he took over, and while I'm sure he could have done things differently if he had run the club as you suggest no doubt all those that claim he should 'put his hands in his pocket' and buy us players would have been even more out in force.
Did he hire the wrong managers, with hindsight yes, but at the time they all seemed like worthy appointments perhaps with the exception of Rooney although it very nearly worked to perfection with Lampard so why not think lightning might strike twice?
It's funny how time makes so many forget and look back with hindsight claiming that they knew this was coming....
Most fans were happy when we were throwing money around, now he should have been more prudent, you can't have it both ways
Mel gambled, rightly or wrongly that we would get to the prem, it failed and now we are paying the price, but you know what, we've been relegated before, as have much bigger clubs than us that are now back on the prem, so while I wouldn't welcome it, and while it would obviously be financially impactful..... If it happens I will still support my club, my team.

My theory is they paid if he played, we pay if he didn't, or at least a percentage. Wouldn't surprise me if at least a large portion of his wages were still being covered. Our sponsored manager.

People are saying he deserves financial backing. People are saying he deserves a transfer window. People are saying he deserves his own hand-picked coaching team.
If it had been a closely contested battle all the way down to the last day, I could understand this point.
If Rotherham and Wednesday had produced incredible form to keep us in danger, I could understand this point.
But it wasn’t always close. At the end of February, we were 9 points clear of Rotherham and 10 points clear of Wednesday. It’s down to 2 and 3 points respectively now.
But Rotherham and Wednesday haven’t produced incredible form. Wednesday have picked up 12 points in 13 games since. Rotherham have picked up 12 points in 14 games.
For us, it has been a capitulation of the highest order and any signs of optimism from Rooney’s early tenure have vanished faster than a burger from my plate.
And some of us want to reward Rooney with more time in the job? I can’t believe what I am reading.

That's a bit harsh considering Cocu and Derby managed 64 points and 10th place last season.
Cocu's miserable run at the start of the season was still marginally better than Rooney's end of season form.  I can't see any justification for believing Rooney will ever be a good manager, anywhere. There is simply nothing to back that up. I also can't understand why anyone would think we should give him another season at Derby to pursue his flailing managerial apprenticeship.

Agree re Lampard (obviously), disagree re Cocu - it's a pretty even amount of poo there but Rooney has dealt with much lower expectations.
Any damage to his reputation is of his own doing imo mainly down to (whether perceived, partially real or outright real) hypocrisy, I'd even say he hasn't damaged it amongst anyone other than Derby supporters - the wider world will still think he's done heroically to take it to the last game.

You said the squad is failing from confidence, and Rooney is doing as good a job as anyone could. I don't see any reason why you'd think that.
Yes, lack of strikers would trouble any manager, but that's not what you were talking about.
We are one different result from being out of the danger zone. I'm saying if a manager could have improved the squad mentality, surely we could have picked up one more result from the last half dozen games?
Rooney was the wrong man at the wrong time.
I'd argue we could have brought in mac3 as manager instead of Rooney (after all he's come here anyway, on a different basis). I don't know the commercials but I suspect the 32 Red sponsorship deal has been our downfall. If we declined the offer, Wayne never joins us and I guess we finish about 15th, even if we had Wassell in charge.
All ifs buts and maybes but I still believe Wayne has failed to get the players performing to their full potential.

That's why I think Rooney is the wrong person to be manager right now. It's a hard task and it needs a proven manager to get the mentality right. Is Rooney able to do it? Maybe, maybe not - maybe it's beyond any manager.  But I would rather trust a manager with a record of trying and succeeding than a manager who we can see hasn't managed to turn it round and has never been successful in management.
Do you think (like him or hate him) that Warnock would inspire more belief in his team than the current Derby team have in themselves?

I have no gripe with Mel, obviously things haven't gone to plan and this last 2 seasons it has fallen apart. Who is to say any other owner would have faired any better in his tenure. We've certainly had a few good seasons with him at the helm and a lot of upheaval ,skulduggery , managers along the way.
I have no reason to believe Mel had didn't havethe best intrest of the club and for the most of his tenure poured significant personnel funds to pursue success .We can all criticse ,bad signings bad managers in hindsight but most on hear were raving Rooneys arrival as a player ,Rooney as Manager. And I  Can't remember many moaning about any of the numerous players being bought during the last 5 years. Were a fickle lot but Mel is a ram ,he did his best didn't work out but I take my hat off to him for having a go.

Agree fully. The problem is that we haven't been promoted and each season trying to compete at the top end of the Championship drains cash and creates P&S issues. That's why we are where we are, not because Mel been enriching himself.
It could have all been so different. We've had so many chances at promotion where we've fallen just short. The difference between success and failure at this level is very fine. A goal here or a save there and it could have all been so different. Obviously Mel has made some mistakes, and I've posted about many of them, but his decisions have been tested and ours haven't.
I don't think any of us should feel any hostility to Mel. He's given it his all.

I've found very little to be right about..
I badly wanted Cocu with his sophisticated, international pedigree to be a huge success. Wrong. Then we tried to hang on with him too long. Wrong. Thought even so his style of football would be something worth waiting for. Wrong.
Believed no way CKR was a decent striker. Wrong, he led the line valiantly at times. Thought how can Rooney fail as a player with his winning attitude. Wrong. Hated the idea of him as manager, going to be a disaster. Wrong, went on a great run. Thought he was pretty personality-less, wrong. He started to come across well in interviews and after being so anti his appointment I had to say he deserved a chance.
Mel finally manages to secure investment that I couldn't believe was a total hoax, there seemed no way he could be conned to give a say in decisions to a group of chancers - trick me once shame on you, errr trick me 3 or 4 times then shame ain't the word!
Rooney then oversees a group of games so terribly dull and insipid that I can't recall ever being so bored by a Derby team. Results go off a cliff. CKR is every bit the 'couldn't hit a barn door' journeyman I thought he would be.
I'm struggling to get any pleasure from Derby full stop. Terribly frustrating and like a nightmare you can't wake up from.  Relegation may be the reset we need but I fail to see how playing Fleetwood etc is going to get us in the Premier League.
Limping over the finish line, fourth bottom and giving Rooney the job feels equally depressing too...but I've been wrong before!!!

Nah, what we be peak Derby, and peak EFL would be something like...
This Alonso guy really is the real deal, his backers are genuine and have untold riches. The EFL though see some a small reason within their rules that they can disallow the takeover, it collapses & we go looking for another new buyer before ending up with an absolute walloper who despite passing all the tests (after all, the Sheikh did!)  buys us and over the next couple of years proceeds to ruin us, sending us down to League 2.
Meanwhile, 6 months after they refuse to sanction Alonso's takeover of Derby the EFL make some small adjustments to their rules and he finds another club to buy, the new rules mean his his ownership is approved and within 2 years they've blitzed the Championship, had a top 10 finish in the PL & qualified for Europe by winning a domestic cup.

Excellent translation of the text, however like many transcripts of interviews it is very limited to what it quotes.
In the interview he gives an outline of his background:
His father owned Logroñés football club when he was very young and so being around a football club is normal for him.
He moved to Indonesia when he was 16 for family business, and as he knew the trainer of the national boxing team ( his grandfather was Spanish boxing champion and the trainer also Spanish) he took up the sport to get himself fit. He went on to make 5 professional fights, winning all of them by KO and becoming champion of Indonesia. He became a father at 21 and as he felt that he couldn't give the sport 100% decided to finish.
He moved into the family business in Indonesia of real estate, mainly construction of villas in Bali after studying business.
If he were to buy a club for love it would be Logroñés, but the opportunity to buy DCFC was too interesting to pass up. If however he could buy any club in the world it would be Atlético Madrid.
He spoke to Ramon Calderon recently and they talked about the tie in the European Cup.
The interviewers then asked about the money side of the deal and although he didn't want to give out the numbers for buying the club he did leave them almost speechless with the amount of money in the English game. He is however buying the club with the help of partners he has in a holding.
When asked about the reception he had received from fans he was delighted with the response, although he would have understood if they had said "who's this youngster who has come here and bought our club? What are his intentions?" (@DarkFruitsRam7 and @Millenniumram, your tweets didn't reach him).
They then spoke about Rooney, basically saying what was said in the transcript.
"Is there a Spanish player that you would like to take to Derby County?" was then asked to which he answered Fernando Llorente. After the incredulation of the interwiewers he did say that he had not spoken to Llorente, but that as someone from his region and someone he admires very much he is "the type of player, for his experience and what he would bring" that he would like to sign, but at this moment the club doesn't have that kind of money. However he would be his dream signing.

That more or less is the interview. What would I say are my feelings after listening? He is a young man who has known nothing but success. He always gives 100% to whatever he does. He's not in this on his own, but although he didn't say who the other backers are (in no way did he avoid the very brief question, he just didn't elaborate)  or how much input in the day to day running they will have I got the impression that he will be the one running us. He does seem to want nothing but success and does understand how much it could cost. If he has half the success he has had up to now and his ambition would suggest then we're in for quite some ride.
My worries? He may just be too enthusiastic, and although as I said he appears to know the pitfalls, he does seem to drop things when he feels he can't give 100% (take his promising boxing career).
I haven't been to an amusement park in almost 15 years, it looks as though I'm about to go on the biggest and newest there is around.
