Show the fighting spirit of today (and West Brom and Stoke) and we’re going to have plenty of enjoyable/memorable moments. Hope that we’ll find real owners by Jan who can tie our talent down to longer term contracts, and then we build again even if it is from league 1.

I'm just having a bit of a wobble - we've looked really quite solid with a good bit of attacking (you know I'm gonna find my old 'we're a 20 goal striker away from a good squad' thread)! But we need our luck to shift just slightly...

I don’t know what I did wrong in a previous life but my football team was decided before I was born.
Growing up in Cornwall, there was no local team. The nearest professional side, Plymouth Argyle, were nearly two hours away. All of my friends supported Manchester United, or Liverpool, or Arsenal. That’s the route I’d have taken too if my dad didn’t have different ideas.
From around the age of six, I was being literally dragged out of bed at 05:30 on a Saturday, put in a car and driven to Derby. One stop at Cullompton Services for McDonald’s breakfast, few hours in Derby, watch the game and run to the car to beat the traffic after the game. Get back home at around 11pm if we were lucky.
I’ve watched some poo football, and had the piss taken out of me endlessly for my choice of team. If people don’t take the piss, then they just treat me with confusion and/or amazement.
Yet I wouldn’t change it for the world. I’d still travel every mile again. And as an adult I still continue to travel to watch them play. I’ve been to some weird places, loved it all.
So whatever happens, nothing for me has changed. I will still love this club, and if the very worst happens and a Phoenix club is born instead, then I guess people will be even more confused as to why I support a football team at the bottom of the football pyramid 350 miles away.

This is the most important thing we can do. Create some income to limit redundancies and player sales, make us attractive to purchasers and support the team.
If you haven't got a season ticket, buy a match ticket.
If you have a got a season ticket , encourage a mate to come or if you can afford it, gift a ticket to a mate.
Encourage friends and family to come.
If you can afford it and know someone who can't afford to go, gift them a ticket for this game.
If you live too far away and can afford it, gift a mate or family member from home,
If you are thinking of coming and have kids, bring them along.
Do whatever we can to fill the ground v Reading.
We've been let down but now it's our time, our time to stand up and save our club.

My personal view for what it's worth is he sounded deflated towards the end of the interview. A beaten man.
Despite a lack of raw emotion shown on air, I genuinely think Friday would have hurt him massively as this wouldn't have been anywhere in his plans.
I understand this will not be any comfort to any of the staff that will lose their jobs, or creditors unpaid who my thoughts are with right now as they face an extremely tough week ahead.
Tomorrow I will be opening a jobs board on the forum, if any of you have a business or hear of vacancies in the local area please post them.
Also if you know anyone that has/will be lose their job through this process, give them a heads up.
Saturday showed what an incredible fan base we have when we come together, let's help try and make the impact as minimal as possible. ?

Despite some excellent opinion on the forum, we’re all reading the tea leaves.

The club should either be commenting ‘there is no final decision and we are still negotiating’ or ‘a formal decision will be announced shortly’ - or at the very least briefing Steve Nicholson to say ‘I understand no decision has been made’ or ‘a decision will be announced shortly’.

The social media driven news cycle means that an unsourced story from the Mail is repeated as truth by multiple outlets in the absence of any comment to disprove it.
