  1. Mrs Wolfie & I were in the hot tub last night and were suddenly joined by our ragdoll cat, who had presumably thought it was jumping on to the cosy tub cover and vaulted the side, only to find herself splashing down & trying to swim to the side in a panic.

    Stupid Cat.

Personalised plates, first they are not, they are a collection of letters and numbers that have been manipulated, illegally, just to make the person look like a knob. And they payed a good wedge for it.

Most personalised plates are legal and are legitimate old registrations, though. I bought one for Mrs Wolfie Mk1 & am sure that's the only reason she still uses my surname after 9 years of divorce?

The illegal bit is messing around with the letters & spacing etc, which can be done on any old or new plate.

I do agree about the nob bit, for these. I used to have a neighbour who did this but the plate still wasn't obviously "personal" enough, so underneath it (where you would normally have the car dealer name etc) thay had a sentence of explanantion as to what the plate meant.

Not as bad as the old dears who have all the time in the day to waste, so spend 20 minutes grabbing a full shop before paying for their petrol, moving their Merc (it is Mickleover...) which is far too big/powerful for them to drive, the f00k out of the way!!!

I don't disagree but on the one occasion I did that - move my car, freeing up the pump for someone waiting, when I knew I'd be a few minutes in the shop - I got bollocked by the person behind the counter for "driving off" without paying even though I parked up about 10 metres away and still on the forecourt.

Presumably nobody could use the pump until my transaction has been completed anyway? I don't know.
