You are very kind. I'm actually starting to see the funny side of it.
We would have been underdogs to say the least. Imagine getting into the playoffs on the last day having won 0 in 6 and losing 4-1 at home to Stoke.
Swansea and Cardiff were fully deserving of their spots, and frankly might actually give Fulham and Brentford a game.

Yeah. You missed us beating Forest at Wembley in the play off finals. Goal keepers end up taking one and Hamer scores the winner.

Bet you never got as high as seeing Thin Lizzy there, went on the old Viking buses from Woodville as a teenager, always told my old man I never smoked, got off the coach, high as a kite and couldn’t convince him it was everybody else’s wacky backy, when it honestly was!
Did a similar trip to see Motörhead, Saxon, Girlschool and Angelwitch now that was some gig in there, swear I was deaf for weeks.

Early Derby ones for me were Kings Hall, Ajanta Club ( porn cinema by day, punk rock venue by night) and a fair few gigs at The Assembley rooms.
Night club was almost exclusively The Blue Note. I refused to hang out with you oiks at Pink Coconut and the like.
Saw some amazing gigs like The Clash, The Undertones, Joy Division, The Smiths, Ramones in Derby. Not likely to get that calibre of gig in the city these days.
Someone mentioned Talk of the Midlands. My dad and his mates were a band there in its hey day. Sadly the owner, Julian Beck passed away earlier this year. His son Richard is a good friend of mine.
Later on I ventured further afield to The Limit Club in Sheffield, Wigan Casino a few times and International in Manchester. Followed The Jam around the country from 1979 onwards. They played smaller towns like Stafford, Cleethorpes regularly.
    Great days...Great thread.

Loaded up RamsTV today at 12.30pm on my iPad using 4G, loaded quickly and the stream ran the entire game flawlessly.
The club will not have been able to stress test this level of numbers viewing which makes it impressive there was no issues compared to....ahem.....iFollow.
Must admit I had concerns how it would cope with the demand but it was flawless, as was Louie Sibley’s performance
@OwenB87 your hair was also impressive, not sure what hair gel you had but whatever it was that also needs credit for keeping it under control 😂

Celebrities don’t really interest me. I always think it’s daft that they get knighthoods just for being on tele etc.

however I’m always saddened by the loss of any of our players etc from the glory years.
notably clough and Taylor, John robson, Dave Mackay, and les green.
sometimes if I’m passing the church in Leicestershire where Les a Green is buried, I’ll put some flowers on his grave with a card with the ram logo on it so that his family know that dcfc fans still remember and appreciate him.

StockholmRam got a reaction from Chester40 in What to do about Derby
Derby has vast potential but little in way of visonaries.
City Council leaders, again and again are in the class of admin, not innovators. Its a flat steady line scenario and until innovators/ creatives  are put right at the very top, nothing will change sadly.
The Assembley rooms, via the market place, through to market hall are crying out to be made into a modest Covant Garden type area to compliment Cathedral Quarter.
Plus a concerted attempt to bring the business eco system into line on new business , start up community. The support network is currently poor.
I do this for a living, for Swedens government.
