A little bit of benchmarking to his earlier promotion seasons with Rovrum.
After 16 games, we currently have 27 points and sit 7th on the table, 9 points from the top.
2017 they had 25 points, 7th, 12 points from the top.
2019 25 points, 6th, 6 points from the top, who had a game in hand.
2021 31 points, 3rd, 3 points from the top.At the end of the season:
2018 4th with 79 points, 19 points from the top.
2020 2nd with 62 points in 35 games, 5 points from the top who ended the season with a game less.
2022 2nd with 90 points, 2 points from the top.We could do with a couple of extra points, but it's not looking too bad either.

I remember Nyambe from Blackburn so I asked a B'burn fan "Wasn't he the beast of a right fullback, who wasn't much of a footballer?"
"Spot on", my friend answered.
Nyambe did alright though and he should have more time with the ball in League 1, so he should be a good signing. -
Sad sad day. They bought Glen Kamara, my personal favorite. 😢
I hope he moves on quickly to PL where he certainly belongs.

Waghorn…Save your money. He’s not going to do anything to justify paying his wages.
Godden….Sky Blues need to keep him. If he moves to you, don’t expect a hatful of goals, but a player who creates and takes players away from your main striker. As I say, he should remain in Coventry as he’s a grafter.
I haven't read this thread since start of the August and this was the first post I pumped into.
An absolute snip for free I'd rather say...

I don't want us to spend money on JCH, but I'd be devastated if he or some other never heard players don't sign for us.
Yes, I'm just preparing for a good old meltdown for tomorrow.

According to Transfermarkt, he is Forest's 17th player to depart recently.
I wonder if Forest has enough players to field a team anymore?!I was kidding you. There's been the same amount of incoming players to their already bloated squad. Bizarre recruiting.

Another week, another fact.
Man City- Newcastle Utd is known as the first Human Rights Derby.

As we still need a striker, forward, LWB, and CM, someone surely must go to fund those transfers? We really don't have many sellable assets so Bird it is and make it 2xCM.
One to be sacrificed for the greater good. I can live with that.

IMO it feels like Warne and his team have worked well on the most important factors of a successful team: teamwork, leadership, trust, and cohesion. Obviously, it matters do we have good enough player material to challenge for automatic promotion but it's hardly the only factor whether we are successful or not.
I have high expectations, I think the team is good enough for challenging for promotion, and during the long season, it's the mental side (annual Feb collapse) that matters even more than the quality of the players (Chelsea last season).

Question for those who want us to sign a fast and young striker.
Would have you been happy with McGoldrick's new contract?
I personally don't get all this quickness hype. For example, I'd take David Silva on my team any day even though he is slow, weak, and ridiculously one-footed.

Waghorn might be alright against Premier League teams, but can he deal the League One?

That was Paul Jewell.

Read a bit more about the man, for anyone interested and brave enough to navigate the DET website.
Very interested, but simply can't. This is me trying it last time...

I have FM20. Is the 23 any better?
For me, the better would be an overall harder game with a lot of psychology, group dynamics, and media & fans involved. It would also be nice if the tactics somehow would matter...

If I was Mbappe or Henderson, I would have already signed as well.
Also, all the money I would earn would go straight away to Saudi's anti-male-guardianship campaign and other human rights operators in the area.
It's rare that footballers could concretely change the world. Those players have the opportunity, which they no doubt will miss.
Put a fork in football, it’s done!!

I think we all have different limits on what is ethical and acceptable. I guess, your limits are at least close to being met.
Mine was bypassed some time ago already. I still enjoy occasionally playing (if you can call jogging after the ball that), but watching football does not interest me. I find it impossible to watch greed in action.
Have to admit, it wasn't easy to give up on something that has been a huge part of my life.
