We must be of the same era, probably my favourite Derby manager, not just because my dad shared his first name and looked a bit like him.  I suspect if Arthur was ever to be persuaded to come to Pride Park, Roy Mac would be the key.  I think it is a shame that this era in Derby's history seems to be overlooked - Take a look at the photo display behind the South Stand, the 80's and early 90s is completely missing, great times for us 50 pluses!

The BBC would save a few million pounds in wages if they got rid of “look at me” Lineker and all of his cronies. MOTD was so much better without his sanctimonious prattlings.

They looked like a team picked from the Coach and Horses pub today. What a motley collection they have.

After the nightmare of last season, remaining under a transfer/agent fee embargo with only five contracted players at the start of the season, it could have gone horribly wrong. The decline might have proved unstoppable, at least in the short term, with us now heading towards League Two.
Thanks to David Clowes, Liam Rosenior, Paul Warne and many others, we steadied the ship. And with 10 games to go and still a whopping 30 points to play for, we are already safe from relegation! The most anyone in the relegation zone can end the season with is 63 points, when we now have 64. Of course that's unless the EFL find another reason to dedect points. No one would put it past them.
But well done everyone at Derby County! That's a result.

Missed the commentary a little, but I thought that highlights package on MOTD was all the better for the lack of guff from Lineker, Shearer, Murphy and Co.

Made my month. Can't stand the guy. If he never came back on TV that would be the perfect outcome.
Then he can post whatever he wants on Twitter and I can just block his account.

Excellent news. Perhaps we can now have a football programme that just shows football without all the pointless nonsense in between of a bunch of ex players saying nothing of interest or import, whilst robbing licence fee payers of 100s of thousands a year in wages.

Just looking at their upcoming games I'm wondering whether in true Gumpy fashion, they may have shot their collective wads a tad early. Not an easy run of games, to be sure - through end of April as below:
    Nottingham Forest - Newcastle United
    Nottingham Forest - Wolverhampton Wanderers
    Leeds United - Nottingham Forest
    Aston Villa - Nottingham Forest
    Nottingham Forest - Manchester United
    Liverpool - Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest - Brighton & Hove Albion
    Brentford - Nottingham Forest

You'd be concerned if your overall spend for the year is hitting around 250 million for players and wages and the clamour is to bring in Yates, Colback and Surridge to make it better.  At least they've finally realised that there cult hero Worrall is feckin useless.

The goal difference is what stands out there. Ours has been absolutely shocking and I could easily see us in -30 to 35 range by the end of the season.
-69 though? My word, its almost impressive ?

Great effort by all the fans who made the trip down, such a long way, on a Tuesday night. And with the game on Sky. I'm most sorry for you that it looks as if we have come up just a little short. You've done us all proud, with some rousing singing.
    Safe trip home everyone.

Last September I was playing football with my grandson, and hurt my knee. I didn’t bother the doctors because the knee gradually returned to near normal, but still quite painful at times. It was such a time I winced, and my wife “advised “ me to see the doctor, which I duly attended, knee examination, all OK, I asked for a PSA (having seen the information at Pride Park) check which he duly gave me the paperwork. The test came back 7.1, I’m over 70 so 6.5 is regarded as normal. I was dispatched to the Derby Royal, had the anal examination, ( for the first time) small lump found. In five weeks I’ve had a MRI scan,my prostrate biopsy done, and a QT scan, and I’m now on a hormone treatment plan. It appears they’ve caught the tumour early, and the prognosis is good, they say it will be eliminated. You do lose your dignity at times, but not going through that door and having the exam you could lose a lot more.
A shout out to the doctors and nurses at the Derby Royal, they have been absolutely terrific, informative, and very understanding, and caring.

This time last year we were half way through a diabolical run of losing 10 away games on the bounce.I went to all of them. We can’t be in fear of going on another bad run. Let’s be bold and go for the win.
