I’ve spoken to David, he’s done his report, sent it to the club to check it’s ok with them.
The clubs not managed to get it signed off yet. One can only assume that they have other pressing matters, players contracts etc if you read what Mr Nixon has said.
I’m assured that there is some further detail to what’s already been released by the Punjabi Rams and Jim Wheeler on Radio Derby.
I was worried that everyone was waiting with baited breath only for the exact info to be in David’s report that was already out there anyway.
Please try and see it from his side, he’s piggy in the middle, and wants to make sure everything is ok with what’s in his report.
As far as I’m aware, due to David having to leave just before the end to catch the last train he missed an agreement to let Jim Wheeler do a piece to RD this morning.
But, that’s not what we go to the charter meetings for. We go to ask questions and to report to our members, not be a face to a joint statement.

David never put our name to a recent open letter to the club, and will never do so.
So please be patient, the timescale is out his hands, and he’s getting grief left right and centre on Social Media. In my opinion non of the other groups who were there are.  But that comes with us being the biggest group of Derby County supporters on the internet.
He’s losing his hair, what he has got doesn’t want turning grey.

Thinking logically, if you live in Derby and are surrounded by Derby fans at home and at work, you're possibly less likely to use this forum, compared to people who are distanced from the club.

Born in Solihull and live here. Grew up closer to Warwick so no connections to Derby. When I was allowed to play football at primary school was when I fell in love with it. Pretty much everyone I knew supported Blues including my dad and brother and they all said I had to support them. But one lad had just started supporting Derby (it was 1975 so a glory-hunter) and asked me to join him. Always wanting to be different I decided to go against the majority. So, you could say Derby's demise coincided with me starting to support them. Sorry!  Many years later though, tracing my family tree, found out that my maternal grandfather's side of the family were all from the East Midlands.

See this is where I disagree with both of you. Carroll really moved the ball quickly, one touch and mostly forward. He was always available for a pass and even sometimes carried the ball forward, not really seen at all since Bielik. Definitely a starter for me if we can sign him.

Dont have another club but I tend to look out for ex-players. I'll always check out Watford to see how Will has performed. I'll even keep a look out for some of the young  players who didn't make it here. I'll look for Solihull Moors score too as I'm a Silhillian but don't count them as a second team.

I thought 2020 was a tough year, 2021 has been absolutely mental so far.
5 weeks ago my brother-in-law committed suicide and then last week my wife lost our baby whilst 4 months pregnant and we spent a rough couple of days in hospital having to still give birth. Tough times.
I was at least hopeful Wayne Rooneys Rams would cheer me up slightly on the Saturday, but it wasnt to be.
My escapism has always been the Rams, but at the minute it's like going on holiday to Normanton to get away from it all.

Full transparency. I was invited to this meeting, but chose not to put my name or the forums to this.
Reason being as I have previously stated, this forum is a platform for fans views, I am not an elected chairman/spokesman to speak on behalf of you all, simply the creator of this platform for fans views which can already be openly seen by the club.
I did not feel comfortable signing on behalf of the forum without consulting you all, and felt my name without attaching dcfcfans.uk held no weight.
My own personal views are that this letter has been created out of concern for the clubs future and regardless of how you feel towards any of the groups that have signed off on it, do not see this as an opportunity to attack supporters groups for speaking on behalf of Derby County fans.
We all love this club. ?

Getting quite bored of all the 'nobody's going to want to buy us' BS. To my mind, most recently, there were three really significant inhibitors to what I would term, serious investors; firstly, the imminent threat of relegation'; secondly, the fear of a significant points deduction for next season and a possibly another season-long relegation fight as a result; and lastly, the fact that a deal had already been struck with Alonso pending EFL ratification. In the last few weeks, two of those factors have already been mitigated and we are now told we have multiple credible suitors. Happenstance?
As regards the last outstanding issue, that being our punishment for our supposed FRS 102 'non-compliance', gimme a break! Does anyone really believe the original DC are suddenly going to turn around and ratify a 12 point deduction, or anything like it?
My predictions for the immediate future: A) The club will be under new, EFL approved and sanctioned ownership inside 3 months. B) There'll be no significant FFP punishment, if for no other reason than we've done nothing wrong. C) The current never-ending pile-on from some on here will thankfully peter out and melodrama and inter-fan sniping levels will return to something like those prevalent before the original FFP charge.
    And breathe....

silhillian reacted to Day in Rooney In!
    Here goes.
I think it's time to draw a line under last season, and get behind Rooney giving him a break for next season. Put your pitchforks down, give me a chance before you smash the keyboard.
I'm not suggesting giving him a free pass for what was a poor end to the season, but we can't dwell on the past and must understand the position we are in financially, even if you cannot get on board with the hand Rooney was dealt with was not the greatest, look at it from the financial point of view.
Rooney walks? Entirely different situation, if he receives the assurances that he can bring players in and compete, I just don't see him walking, I wouldn't be surprised if he's not fired up even more to prove himself.
Sack him? Now this is the question, how much will that cost, can we afford it?
The reply to that will be, but we can't afford to drop into League 1, no we can't, but with a summer of recruitments using his contacts is a risk worth willing to take in my opinion, even if you give him until October to not have us in any kind of relegation battle.
Things don't work out, we may at least have some decent players at the club to work with. Lampard with Tomori, Mount and Wilson for example to then bring in an experienced disaster fighter to keep us up.
Would you give Rooney a couple of months in exchange for extra funds to purchase a player or two than showing him the door now?
What even are the expectations for next season? Please don't tell me we have any fans sat here thinking top 6 minimum, in my mind a 10th to 16th unspectacular season would be acceptable as a building block.
Is Rooney capable of that? I don't see why not, let's not forget the weeks we were up there with the best in the form table before Bielik got injured, now if he has the players, the squad, I don't see that as being a totally unrealistic target.
What Cocu would have done with Bielik and CKR for that matter is irrelevant now, we'll never know.
Fans will hopefully be back next season, let's not walk into the opening game with a toxic atmosphere booing and calling for the blokes head, look at the scenes outside Pride Park pre Sheffield Wednesday game, the players didn't deserve any of that really, but right now we need to play our part however hard that maybe for some of you.
There is a huge negative cloud above this club right now, I just feel that by adding to that with weekly demands for Rooney's head will offer nothing positive to the current situation we find ourselves in.
Give him a chance, couple of months that's all. Regardless of who the owner is, I don't see him being afford much longer than that if we look to be heading into trouble once again.

I was present for the first 2 I think supporters charter meetings as the idea was being setup, but through ill health and distance I never attended future meetings.
The minutes of the meetings will confirm this.
I surveyed the forum for questions to put forward and posted the meeting minutes once they were provided.
As for my opinion, it’s been a difficult season both on and off the pitch, we have an owner in ill health, takeovers, EFL appeal and a global pandemic to deal with.
Whilst I would love to know what is going on with regular updates, I would imagine hands are tied in what they can publicly discuss, and let’s be honest, when they do come out and talk it’s dismissed as PR spin.
I feel they have always been in a damned if they do, damned if they don’t situation.
To address this here as I know it’s been asked in various online platforms, I haven’t spoken with anyone from the club aside from the marketing team with regards to the adverts displayed on this forum.
I do understand your concerns, but aside from the deleted Collymore tweet, I haven’t seen any credible source to suggest the existence of this club is in threat, so was a little puzzled by the talk of protests if I’m totally honest.
I have been away for the last week and enjoyed some time offline and away from social media, so apologies if I’ve missed anything more. Taking time to catch up now, but there’s a lot of posts!
At this stage I’m willing to remain patient, not freak out at every Daily Mail headline such as this mornings given their success rate on us recently (21 point deductions).
The next couple of months are huge for this club, don’t get me wrong, and I’m not sticking my head in the sand, I just feel that the club face a number of issues that need resolving and will take longer than 48hrs after the final ball was kicked.
Finally, the last 12 months have shown that football is nothing without fans, I’m hoping the communication level with fans is restored to what they were as soon as possible, with the stadiums look set to reopen, fans need to know the clubs plans going forward before parting with any money.
You look at some of this clubs that were to join the ESL, having never heard or very little communication with their owners, we have almost been spoilt in years gone by in comparison, but that’s how it should be, I hope the club are aware of how important the fans are to this club and as I say, look to reopen those lines of communication as soon as possible.

All you have really done is accuse us supporters of having our head "buried in the sand".
Look at the posts from all the other topics. People do not have their heads in the sand - just the opposite in fact. Everyone on here is as worried as anything about what is happening to our great club - both on the pitch and behind the scenes.
Every day, people post whatever morsel of information they obtain. Every day, those snippets are pieced over with people speculating on what it might mean. Every day - and I am sure I am not alone in this - I check this and other websites in case new information has come to light.
So, please do not accuse me - or others - of having our heads in the sand.
I imagine that if I, or anyone, wrote to Mel about the current situation, we would get a standard response referring us to the statement put out by the club on Sunday morning.
So, what do you expect us to do - to be "proactive"??????
If you do know something that would cause us to rise up and protest, then why not tell us?
Otherwise, it smacks that you are yet another of those who claim to be ITK but say nothing.....and, yes, as such, you should expect a negative response. We're still waiting to hear from the guy who told us John Terry would be appointed within 48 hours of Cocu leaving.
