I'm sure you have but if you go down to Leith (literally a 15 minute bus ride) it becomes much less touristy and the bars are just as good, if not better than directly in the center. There is an absolutely cracking burger and cocktail bar right near my gf's place that I couldn't recommend highly enough if you're ever in the area.
Are you usually so accommodating to those who are around your girlfriends area?

Reminds me of the guy who always went on about Bryson then turned out to be his brother in law or something.

Patiently waiting for this thread to turn into 30/40 pages… ?

You will note my use of the caveat 'early days'
They need to offload 3 or 4 more fringe players and get a decent RB and they should finish top 4
Think they’re waiting for Tomiyasu to return from injury. White is filling in well there at the moment and Cedric seems flexible to cover either full back position.
Tavares sent out on loan, like Saliba was, so they’re hoping some experience will allow him to improve after some shaky appearances last season.

I haven't seen anyone advocate getting rid of LR?
Happy clappers was used as a phrase by myself as the opposite to the group of posters you describe and that caused extreme upset by one forum member in particular, guess they won't be attacking your description with such vigour though or indeed at all as that's OK to use and it fits with their narrative which totally devalues the point they were trying to make in their incoherent diatribe.
I think there were a few posts at the final whistle calling for a change in manager. Possibly in the heat of the moment, possibly because the posters expect too much too soon from this team.
After some time to digest I hope we can all get ready to support the team going forward.

This is an horrendous watch 2nd half. I feel for those poor sods who've travelled & paid to go in & watch this crap. I'd give Rosenior 2 more games & then get rid

God I hate how Dawes gets all excited as if we are going to score and then we don’t. Really leaves you stressed out
Almost like being at the match?

Is it also possible that teams see him as a weak link because RB isn’t his natural position, so they focus their attacks down that side?
We’ve hardly conceded any goals, so he can’t be doing terribly still.

Scanned the thread and I think the last post is the first and only one to spell Oduroh’s name properly.
As for the thread topic, Knight is obviously the best current choice for what is a problem position for us. Ideally we can get someone in that is suited to the role, but it’s seemingly a tough job spec for league 1 level with our budget restraints.

So we’ve just witnessed young Eiran age 21 months in a matter of hours. I reckon he can easily surpass 6 foot in the next 20-30 mins.

Couldn’t see an ex-rams thread for Festy. I’m happy to see that people’s predictions that he joined Udinese just so Watford can get him on the cheap look to be wrong.
Made his Serie A debut against Fikayo Tomori’s Milan and looks to be part of their plans this season.
Looking forward to seeing him progress and grow as a player in a top league with some heavy hitters.

Just had a quick check on nyderby’s last posts. There is nothing positive to say about the team at all. Just consistent moaning about quality of finishing and missed chances.
Nothing to consider how well the team have started playing together despite so many new faces with a short pre-season under their belts, or to congratulate the team on winning 2 of their first 3 matches this season.

We won! Let’s all argue about our opinions on players that have only played a handful of matches for us!
Yay! I’ve missed football.
For context, both Charlton and Oxford have gone to penalties against championship opposition so we can hopefully understand a bit more of the level of opposition we’ve faced so far.

Give some of the squad a run out for fitness and get Smith and Knight in positions that they are more familiar with. Collins stays in to give him some chances of getting on the scoresheet and getting some confidence back in front of goal.
2 players off the starting lineup. And 2 away from the bench. Not a bad prediction, this managing job is well easy ?

Are they not showing the goals on sky sports news? Might be the best we can hope for.

Also on Haaland, Manchester City have taken an almighty gamble. They've offloaded a number of their strikers and put all their hopes on a bloke whose injury track record is hardly promising. It's great if he stays fit, but if he gets injured they've not got Jesus or Sterling who were really good backups.
They also brought in Julian Alvarez who would be first choice at pretty much any other top flight club in Europe.
I went to Arsenal v Sevilla the week before the PL season and Jesus looks great with that Arsenal team (scored a hat-trick in the first half), but when they tried to play him out wide for periods of the second half he disappeared from the game and Martinelli doesn't quite click properly as the number 9 when they switch around at the moment.
Sterling was good at City, but they've unloaded players in positions that Pep feels they've got good cover in. Jesus replaced by Haaland and Alvarez. Sterling will not be missed if two/three of Foden, Grealish, Bernardo, KDB, Mahrez etc. link up well with whoever is playing up front. Zinchenko could be the biggest miss, Cancelo is one of the best full backs in the league, but after that it's Walker out of position or Ake (I think) to cover.

I can’t believe we haven’t scored yet. I feel we’ll have quite a few games this season where we dominate like this, but we need to convert the chances.
Collins will score eventually but today might not be his day. Will be interesting to see what Dobbin can offer with this sort of service and if Sibley can come on and create havoc.
Not sure Charlton have it in them to change the possession stats or the way they play much. They’re grateful that we haven’t taken the lead yet.
