We'd all like a striker who can bag 25 goals every season but they're expensive. Have faith in Warne. That doesn't mean he's above criticism, but the fact is, he got us promoted 3 times from league 1 and has worked with the lad before. 
I don't mean this disrespectfully at all, but you're looking at getting promoted from league 1, not  pushing for the Prem. That's Warne's remit right now, league 1 promotion. He'll sign players who want to work hard for the team and will do the job he wants. Washington will be good in league 1, he was OK in the championship last season to be fair. That said, I don't know anything about Collins, maybe he's a similar player?

I think if it wasn't against the Aussies I'd be able to enjoy the spectacle this test match was, a little more than I currently am anyway! Fair play to Cummins and Lyon, hung on in there. Superb test match all round. 
Of course everyone will look to the declaration but it won't be the last one to raise a few eyebrows I'm sure. I'm not fully on board with it but Stokes sticking to his principles is refreshing for the sport, especially in conventional test match cricket. It certainly beats watching Dom Sibley and Rory Burns block the life out of the game. 
Tough gig for us to turn it around now, especially with the Lords test next up where we've won 2 tests since 1934 vs this lot, albeit two in the past two decades.

Came away disappointed and a bit flat yesterday but on reflection I think that was a pretty good day we just missed the opportunities to make it really count. If Broady's no-ball wasn't as so, we'd have had a good hour at the tail with the new ball. Hopefully we don't rue that and the Bairstow bits come Monday. 
Broad with the new ball this morning the most likely outlet to a breakthrough. Tough day yesterday for Anderson and Robinson, didn't seem to give much away but pretty ineffective in all honesty.

A close game but the two sides are miles apart. If the other supposedly best team in Europe can only set out to stop the other team playing it's a pretty sorry state of affairs. Doesn't look out of place in League One but it made a dire spectacle for the continents biggest game of the year.

Glad test cricket is back but feel a tad shortchanged in entertainment and meaningful preparation for Australia. The test will likely be complete without 3 of our best batters even seeing the field.

Where's the disrespect?   Footballers have short careers and want to play at the highest level possible.  Having had two bad injuries Bielik will be more accutely aware of this than most.
The club will be putting the club first and trying to secure the best outcome for themselves.  Is that disrespectful too?
