Today's the day people.

I'm very optimistic. Mainly due to the recruitment in defence. The first few games are rarely entertaining, the odd goal here and there and having the solid defensive unit is key. Bradley and Nelson are fantastic signings, a huge improvement on paper from last season. Not expecting lots of goals initially however we'll keep even more clean sheets in my view to mitigate this.

Hey all - we've done ANOTHER season preview pod - this time roping in no less than 4 rival fans onto the same recording to look ahead to the League One campaign.

With the season upon us, Richard Cutcher chaired a podcast panel with four other opposition fans from around the division, to gauge the mood as the Rams' rivals rate their own promotion chances, as well as who they're tipping to be the league's top goalscorer, which manager is under the most pressure... and who'll finish in the top two.

We were joined by James Jarvis from the 'Lion of Vienna' Bolton Wanderers podcast, Tracey Martin from Barnsley's 'Red All Over', Ben Thomas from 'The Tilehurst End' Reading FC pod, and broadcaster Jake Smith, from Portsmouth's Express FM, for the Pompey perspective.

As long as it's not that bilge water called Carlsberg, I really don't mind what lagers they have on.
Definitely felt the customer service around the stadium, whether that's in the Yard or beer tent, has significantly improved since DC took over. Even when it is very busy, you don't seem to queue anywhere near as long for beer or food. 

I see the guy at the top has just bagged his family a billion pound deal with BP, funnily enough just before announcing these new licenses were granted in the North Sea. That's not a political statement, that's fact. 
Some nice ammo for Just Stop Oil to use and quite rightly.

Ryan Woods has been s**** for years.  Show us the dollars.  Drives me mad .  We'll buy this player at less than he's worth, by giving you a player we don't want. This dumps there wage on you to give us room to offer the player you want to keep more wages to secure the move.  Feck off.

As a last resort, I would sign him.
I loved his work rate, his determination to come back from his depression which takes a lot of guts. Can take a set piece if needed. His finishing though? Horrendous.
His free kick against Forest in lockdown era was unbelievable. One of the best goals against the Red Dogs. Because it wasn't with a crowd I think it gets overlooked. I think we massively overpaid for his services (shock horror). The amount of chances we created and he kept missing at vital moments in games was so frustrating. I do think though with a strike partner like Collins, his strengths might shine through. 
Is he better value for money than Jordan Rhodes? I think so. I just think we need to be more smart with recruitment and maybe hold on for a younger talent later in August when the teams above organise their squads. Everyone panicking over not signing another striker I think is jumping the gun. Good loan players won't be available until a ball is kicked.

RW Craig Fagan. Harsh this because he tried. But epitomised an era of gross incompetence.
CM Bob Malcolm. Great start. Pissed it all up the wall. Waster.
CM Jacob Butterfield. Decent start, lost his way, realised he was rich and couldn't be arsed to get on it any more. Shudder.
LW Eddie Lewis. In with a shout for the most out of their depth football player ever, in a world that includes Claude Davis.
CF Tamas Priskin. Loaned in, flounced about, flounced out. Never broke sweat.
CF Rob Earnshaw. Overall champion.

Why?
I want to touch on politics first, this forum was never designed or assigned moderates for political discourse. 
Over the years we have tried various ways to allow political discourse however they all descended into insults being thrown around and numerous posts being reported.
Bare in mind the main Derby County board has over a million posts, most of our reports came from topics within this board.
In a recent poll, moderators unanimously voted out all political discussions. Enough is enough.
They, like myself are tired of the same small number of members that cannot tolerate each others views.
May I remind you these moderators give up their own free time for no reward to help moderate this forum. 
We have relaxed the rules slightly to allow topics on global issues for example with the Ukraine War and climate change with Extinction Rebellion which can be seen as political issues, some may have seen this as a green light for all politics. That is not the case.
Party politics still have no place on this forum whatsoever and we reserve the right to lock topics like Ukraine War and Extinction Rebellion if they are used as a way to bring party politics on to the forum.
When I say party politics I am of course referring to the left, right and centre. 
Finally, you will have heard me say numerous times now, without adverts this forum would fail to exist, so we must remain advertiser friendly.
Advertisers do not wish to promote their business/product alongside content that incites hatred against, promotes discrimination of, or disparages an individual or group on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalisation.
We as a forum have no issues with prohibiting that kind of content as we want to be welcoming to Derby County fans from all backgrounds.

That is absolutely fine, not a problem, you have a couple of options.
1) Disagree but accept the terms of use we have in place and ensure that your posts do not fall into any of our prohibited content.
2) Quite simply find another platform that will give you that freedom of speech that you desire, Twitter being one option, however I would argue Elon Musks idea of free speech still comes with it's own t&c's.
What if I ignore you?
Consider this post to be every single members verbal warning, if you continue to push back against our terms of use we will be left with no choice but to issues warnings, where multiple warnings would result in a ban.
