1of4 got a reaction from GB SPORTS in Jack Wilshere - joined Aarhus
Had no issue with Huddlestone turning down the contract we offered him, that's his prerogative. But unlike Wilshere, I can't recall Huddlestone sobbing on the radio that no club had come in to sign him.
As for Wilshere not wanting to play for us, I couldn't be more pleased. He appears to be more interested in money than he does about playing football for what ever club he deems illustrious enough to sign him.
Also we've recently had more than our fair share of "care in the community" players like Bobby Duncan and Jorden Ibe. Players that were never going to repay the club for the opportunity we gave them to rebuild their career and ended up being nothing more than a burden to our wage bill.

Big day tomorrow my wife and I will be receiving our covid booster jab.
This means due to where the vaccination is being carried out, we will be in Derby earlier than normal on a match day.  So after much deliberation we have come to the difficult decision to spend that time in the partaking of various refreshments at the Brunswick Inn.
Well I suppose one has to make sacrifices when doing their bit in safeguarding the community

I care because he’s on a couple grand a week and I’d be pissed off if he’s being paid to kick it up in the sun in Barbados whilst we’ve had to let go of several of our staff members, who’s jobs could of been saved if he wasn’t stealing a living.

Derby - Hey, here's our accounts. By the way, we used an alternate method involving amortisation.
EFL - Hmmmmmm. It's unusual, but fine, we'll sign off on them.
    *Years Later*
EFL - Lol, changed our mind, now they aren't ok.

Derby - We've sold our stadium and will add the profit to our accounts.
EFL - We don't like that, but it's not against the rules. We disagree with the valuation of the stadium however.
Derby - OK. Here's a valuation from an independent company who provide a similar figure.
EFL - Nope, we don't agree with the professionals, we'll begin disciplinary action.

Independent panel - Derby didn't do anything wrong.
EFL - Meh, what do you guys know. We will appeal with a new independent panel.
New independent panel - We believe a 100k fine is appropriate for Derby's wrongdoing.
EFL - Nah, we don't like that, let's appeal. Oh and let's also try and relegate them after the season is finished.

Derby - Hey, we've renewed Jack Marriott's contract.
    EFL - OK.
    *6 months later*
EFL - Changed our mind. Marriott is free to leave. And no, you can't sign anyone to replace him, Waghorn, or any of the other players who left.
    *Months later*
Derby - Please, we don't have enough senior players to even field a team, just let us sign some.
EFL - *Sigh* Fine, but only 4 or 5. And no more than 4.5k a week! And if you re-sign players like Davies or Wisdom they will take up 1 of those spots.

Derby - Hey we're having some injury problems and would like to use a couple of young lads, but they'll then count as senior players. Can you be a little lenient with this?
    EFL - Lol no.

I'm really relieved the EFL are trying to help us and make us work. It's really nice to know they have our back.

The EFL want Derby to be sustainable and work, is this a joke? Parry and his cohorts have acted like bully boy dictators, while interpreting the rules of the EFL in a way that suits their own agenda.
Since the club proved in court, the value of the stadium had not been over estimated. The head officials of the EFL appear to have done everything in the power to stop The Rams from being a workable club. At ever turn the EFL have stopped Derby competing on equal terms with all the other clubs in the championship.
So unless the EFL can show that their original actions over the stadium weren't taken to purely pacify another club's owner. Then no I didn't believe they want or care if we do or do not survive, never mind being sustainable.

The future is going to be sustainable vertical farming anyway which will take care of perishable fresh food items in an eco friendly manner. Great news for Derby 4,500 jobs.

There are supermarkets in Europe also starting growing food on their roofs because they are worried about a shortage of drivers and workers in the supply chain but I can’t find the link on EU news.
Yes shortage of drivers and workers not just a UK problem.

I should, in all honesty, be receptive to alternative views. An open mind is a good thing. Partisanship is by definition, one eyed.
Yet where is the honesty and open mindedness from the EFL that has a fixed, slanted playing field via parachute payments and then whips none parachute clubs for daring to challenge. ? Their “perspective”  is worthless while the double standards persist.
They are complicit with the premier league in running a bent competition in the championship while trumpeting their own supposed moral superiority - which is baseless.
Jobsworths, pompous, self important, self promoting, illogical, biased and about as useful as the famed one legged man at a but kicking party with a big fat zero in the integrity stakes.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. I reserve most of my displeasure for those people who talk down wearing masks (the "I will not wear a muzzle" brigade) or those who reject the vaccine. Even if you accept that the vaccine has risks (which I personally think are extremely minimal, so small you can pretty much dismiss them) if you weigh it up with the benefits of being vaccinated and the reduced risks of Covid, I fail to see the downsides.
Why is it such a big deal to wear a bit of cloth over your mouth while you walk through Tesco? What's the big objection about? It's the merest of inconveniences. Don't give me reduced breath intake and bacterial infection - we don't see surgeons keeling over left right and centre. And if you don't wash your mask regularly, more fool you. Stop being such a mucky bugger.
The dismissal of vaccinating young people as "they aren't at risk of Covid". Why do we vaccinate boys against Rubella, when it's highest risk group is pregnant women? Why do we vaccinate everyone against HPV when it primarily prevents cervical cancer? Because we're reducing the R number. We have many, many ways of tweaking the R number. Some are draconian, like lockdowns. Some are more subtle and have a little benefit. But find enough little benefits and it helps bring that number down, which helps stop the spread.
We vaccinate groups that helps prevent the spread down to vulnerable people. Covid is proving to be very hard to slow down, more in this country than others from the data - perhaps we could learn from their practices and pick up some good habits?
As for the antipodes, they only ever bought time. They then squandered it. Ultimately their fantastic response was fruitless due to failure to vaccinate people in a timely fashion. Imagine if they'd rolled out a solid vaccination program, copying the UK response?

Well it looks as if I've been dealing with coronavirus all wrong, and that we should be only caring about our own health.
So if I unfortunately do contact the virus, I'll need to hope that all the doctors and nurses haven't arrived at the same conclusion of only caring for themselves, when I turn up at the hospital looking for help. Maybe I could go home and clap a bit louder in the hope they change their minds.
But I suppose I could be lucky and catch the virus without it becoming life threatening. Meaning I could possibly take a holiday to help me recuperate and anyone else flying on the same plane, well that's their fault if they become infected, they shouldn't have taken the risk of travelling alongside me. If not a holiday maybe a trip to Pride Park, well I suppose the same scenario applies for any infections in the crowd. And I wouldn't want to be seen has virtue signalling of caring for others by wearing a mask.

Watched the highlights from yesterday's Championship games and the amount of poor decisions made by many of the refs was disconcerting to say the least. So it's not just us that are suffering from poo refs. But it does feel like we are getting an unfair share of these poor decisions.
If we're to believe that old adage, that decisions even themselves out over the season. Then we must be due a glut of penalties awarded in our favour before Christmas.

Looks like the tory's strategy is starting to work. Just need the government to offer a reduction in national insurance payments for those that are paying into a private health insurance and we'll be well down the slippery slope of no more NHS.

It's the whole process, you could always do with more drivers but you need to use the ones you do have more effectively and not leave them sitting around for hours on end. Some ports have more technology to assist in the processing of containers, London Gateway for example is pretty new. The whole world has a problem with the supply chain and the recovery from Covid. The shipping lines are profiteering and that is pushing costs through the roof.
The paperwork has not changed when you are importing from Asia and India etc. There is always loads of it but the UK does have one of the most efficient customs systems where everything is electronic bar a few documents that still need to be presented. So no, paperwork, is not the issue. It's volumes and speed.
Felixstowe, I believe was suffering from 1000s of Gov containers containing PPE that were left quayside.
The USA is suffering huge delays at places like San Diego and LA as well.
