Give the Macmillan cancer support a call. They're there to give help to the families of cancer patients, not just for those with cancer. They will listen to your worries and concerns and offer advice and support

The whole season as been my highlight. Much of this isn't just due to any results but the passion shown by the fans and their connection with the players which as been phenomenal.
Yes we may have been relegated and it may be a little perverse on my part but the pride, exhilaration and even joy I've had this season, I'd put this season up there with the 13/14 season which also ended with disappoint. And other than the 06/07 season  play-off games, this season as given me more pride in the Rams than that promotion season.

It may have been a poorly built stand but we should be thankful that it wasn't the temporary one that was there afew year ago, when the stadium was being modernised. That would have collapsed under the strain of 4000 fans bouncing.

So the Blackpool police have named four pubs that will accept Derby fans. I hope they can accommodate a 1000 fans in each pub?

Students find £10,000 for breaking the law by attending a house party during the pandemic. A millionaire gets find £50 for committing the same crime.
Couldn't decide if I should post it here or in the joke thread.

The more I listen to the rhetoric coming from Quantuma the more I'm convinced that there is more chance of us being liquidated than there is of a new owner being found willing to pay what Q want.
How are Q arriving at what they think is fair price for the club?
If the club was to be liquidated this very minute, what money would Q be able to offer to the club's creditors?
What as the club stands today are it's actual assets? Rightly or wrongly I assume that the main assets are the players that will still be under contract at the end of the season. What the fees that could be obtained for these players is very subjective. Meaning any money raised could be far less than Q thinks they could get from their sale.
So why are Q not willing to accept one of the offers presently tabled? Wouldn't an offer that is more than the clubs current assets, be more acceptable to the creditors than what they would receive through the club being liquidated.
While the sale of the ground may muddy the water for any potential buyer. Surely the sale of the stadium is a matter that can only be resolved between the new club owner and morris and should have no baring on what the administrators are doing.

I understand that people want to stop wearing masks and return to how they lived their lifes before the pandemic. I too try to live a normal life as much as I can. Such as visits to shops, pubs and especially Pride Park.
People call @Eddie hypocritical for his stance on masks. I would still like to see the wearing of masks more vigorously implemented. If that makes my a hypocritic, so be it.
I still wear a mask when I go into these places and social distance as much as I can. This is some times made difficult when shopping, due to other shoppers who lean across me to reach an item because they can't wait a few seconds for me to move away from a shelf they want to get to.
I also still wear a mask when I enter a pub and go up to the bar, I will only remove it once I'm sat at a table. I'm lucky that the pubs and the times which I frequent them, means they are rarely busy. So finding a table away from others is usually easy to do.
As for PPS I'm happy to sit in close proximity to others as this is in the open air and consider any danger of catching a virus greatly reduced.
Do I wear a mask for my own safety, partly. The main reason I've carried on wearing one, is to stop me spreading any germs I may be carrying.
When I do finally stop wearing a mask, I may follow the Japanese and other Asian countries who even before this pandemic, wore a mask when they had a cold to stop them spreading it, when going about their daily lives..

I don't like wearing masks either, but I do recognise that there are benefits (largely to others) in doing so under certain circumstances.

1of4 got a reaction from Carl Sagan in EFL Supporters Survey 2022
The survey was representative of how incompetent the EFL as an organisation is.
Asked question about if I used various services available to me on match days, eg. food and drink. I answered I never use them and went straight to my seat. The next question then asked me to rate these match day services. So had to give a rating to a service  I don't use, as it would not let me progress to the next question until I had done so.

Oxford English definition of war: a situation in which two or more countries or groups of people fight against each other over a period of time.
We’re getting hung up a bit on semantics but I reckon this meets pretty much every definition of a war. It may have been triggered by the Russian invasion but it is no doubt a conflict between the nations armies of Russia and Ukraine. Ukraine may not be “a willing side” but I suspect this is often the case when an aggressor attacks, whether provoked or not, another nation or group of people.

A couple of goals won't change my opinion of him. If over the next ten games he puts in some solid performance and as some meaningful contribution to the results of these games. Then I will be happy to be proved wrong.

The EFL will come up with some ill thought out  rule change in a half arsed attempt to stop any blame landing on their doorstep.

Except Ukraine is a democratic nation and Syria has been ruled by a single family for going on 5 decades.... The 'ruling party' in Syria was facing a mass uprising from the people who had demanded free elections, implementation of law and an end to the Assad regime.  It has exactly 0 equivalence to do with what people are wanting NATO to do in Ukraine and it's quite a despicable false equivalence to make.I'd also add the Russian presence in Syria was one that accompanied multiple war crimes and a completely duplicitous claim of fighting 'Islamic extremists' when 90% of their fire power was focused upon non extremist groups demanding an end to Assad.  Halabaja was an Iraqi massacre and nothing to do with Syria btw so you've got both the time frame and geography completely mixed up there.

You're trying to paint an equivalence where one doesn't exist quite honestly.

Ukraine was defining its own future, well thats until they were invaded by another country.
If as you say Ukraine should surrender to save lives. Then play the long game to gain their freedom and the ability to devine their own future. But haven't Ukraine already been through this process, gaining these rights as an independent country with the break up of the Soviet Union.
