Glad to know you've made a judgement on him based on a maximum of 480 minutes of football, in which he scored once and assisted once. 172 minutes were in cup competitions, so unless you were at the games you wouldn't have seen him
There are a lot of people here who will have watched him play 10 times as much football as that.
Then there's his record out on loan:
3 goals in 173 minutes for Stockport, until we recalled him and he picked up an injury in the first game back.
2 goals and 1 assist in 449 league minutes for Carlisle (634 mins in all comps)

    20/21
In the U23s until November and earned a spot in the first team following 8 goals in 8 games, but was still behind Kazim and Waghorn as in the pecking order. Picked up and injury and was out for 3 months, before going out on loan. Recalled due to an injury crisis and lasted 19 minutes before coming off with an injury. Missed the rest of the season.
    21/22
Started the season in the first team squad, scoring in his first appearance. Played in 7 of the next 9 games, mostly as a sub. Dropped back down to the U23 when Baldock and Kazim were both fit. Scored 6 in his first 5 U23 games before picking up an injury which kept him out for three months. In his absence, Plange was given a shot in the first team due to all other senior forwards being out injured too. Due to his performances, Plange kept his place in the squad when others were fit.
    22/23
    Out on loan at Carlisle

Simple question - with everyone fully fit, who would your midfield trio be?
Tommo hasn't been given much of a chance in the league so far this season, but here are some stats for the others per 90 minutes played at CM:

The stats suggest Bird is the best defensive contributor, Sibley the best offensive contributor, and Knight is our jack of all trades.

Man City will field a young side, having only used 1 player older than 19 all season. Former Derby academy player True Grant (16) could make the squad, with him being on the U21s bench in their last game.
Man City's front three will most liekly be Mebude, Dickson and Borges, who have scored a combined 12 goals in 9 U21 games this season (2 in the EFL Trophy match vs Mansfield.

"As I understand it", "that's your belief", Mistake continually being made", "You're annoyed" all point to one thing. The message isn't being delivered.
Jeremy Clarkson and his farm will have done much more good for the environment than the two hypocritical girls very badly trying to prove a point.

I think most would say Bird, Sibley, Knight. All three have been playing together for years too, but rarely in the first team. We will see them rotated, though, considering the amount of games we will get through in quick succession.
I really want to see more from Knight in a midfield role, though. He's played his best football at right back this season.

If they believed there was no one to win over they wouldn't do it. Right?
You've perfectly demonstrated how the general public isn't getting the point of the stunts. It takes someone who is already a strong supporter of their actions to explain those actions to other people. The message being sent by the activists clearly isn't good enough
The sunflower stunt. Two girls wearing 'Just stop oil' t-shirts. How is that related to being more upset about a painting of a plant than the destruction of real plants, as you've previously claimed?
One girl has pink hair... I imagine that was hair dye and not her natural colour. Guess what hair dye derives from? Crude oil. Super glued themselves to the wall... crude oil. Those printed polyester t-shirts... crude oil. I could go on. They aren't exactly fighting the cuase they apparently are so strongly in favour of.
Yesterday you stated "As I understand it - they threw the soup at Van Gogh's Sunflowers, specifically so as to highlight people being more annoyed about a painting of plant life being damaged, rather than the actual damage being done to actual plants by man-made climate change".
So what's actually happened here, is you've interpreted their actions differently to what their message is clearly trying to state?

Bird, Knight and Sibley are a nice blend for me. The two things that nag for me are a lack of experience when we come up against a more cynical side and a lack of defensive bite, which leaves our back 3 a little exposed.
Hopefully their talent, energy and enthusiasm can make up for those deficiencies.
Haven't been impressed by Hourihane's overall play, decent impact sub perhaps? Smith has looked good in the few moments we have seen him but I'm left with the conundrum of who to leave out of Smith plays and decided to put my faith in the home grown lads.
It's a nice problem to have if we can make it work to our advantage.

I'm not saying the opposite. I'm telling you the factual maximum number of minutes you have seen Stretton in the first team.
Is the Beglian 2nd division better than L2? I've never watched football in that league so can only guess at "no".
He isn't too small for a Warne side, as pointed out by others. You're quick to move the goal posts to "Dobbin is faster" and "Ogbene is more experienced".
As I previously stated in a different thread about other academy players, your judgement on youngsters is abysmal and cannot be taken seriously.

It's you who isn't getting it. The way you deliver a message is critical in gaining support from the audience.
You aren't going to have much success marketing condoms to Catholics, but you may have better luck teaching them about safe sex. Using violence to certainly won't be the answer.
The message delivery from XR is abysmal. As is very clear from this thread, 99% of people (if not more) fundamentally disagree with how they're delivering the message, whereas a small percentage of those also don't agree with what they're perhaps trying to say.
Their own website states "There is no definitive vision statement", so how can the majority of the public get behind that? It backs up the impression that they are just trying to grab attention for themselves. What is it the extinction of? Wildlife, humans, something else? Well further down on the 'About Us' page, they state "Creating a world that is fit for generations to come." This is ambiguous in itself. Fit in what way? It could be just as 'fit' even if thousands of species became extinct. You brought up "Holocene extinction", but that doesn't immediately seem at odds with XR's 'About Us' page.
Going back to what I said, "The way you deliver a message is critical". Asking people to reduce their carbon emissions sounds great. Who wouldn't agree with that? Well we have our very own @TexasRam who stands by his view that China need to make changes, otherwise there's no point in him making a change. I haven't kept up with this thread, so can't say what the best way to deliver a message to him would be, but something a long the lines of "use the opportunity for technical innovation, drive down energy costs, increase economical growth" will win some over without alienating others.
Covid is another example. Violent approaches to the range of issues didn't persuade anyone to 'pick a side'. Yet messages such as "stay at home to protect the NHS" and "Covid jab to save others' lives" worked.
It's not just how the message is delivered, but by who. Just like you would do the complete opposite to what a Tory MP would tell you to do, others will do the opposite to what a Labour MP would. Having a blue haired, diesel car driving, plastic using human tell you what to do isn't going to work for most people, simply due to hypocrisy. When did "Do as I say, not as I do" ever work?

If you didn't go to watch the cup games live, then you've only seen him for a maximum of 308 minutes. No where near enough time to judge a player. 480 minutes under the old management group and scored 1 and assisted 1. Collins, under the old management group, took 650 minutes before he made his first goal contribution, and was already written off by many before that goal.
Stretton'ss a player who will look to break the offside trap, press the defence, and a natural poacher who has that habit of being exactly where he needs to be to score. He's the ideal forward for how Warne is setting us up.
As I have said, there are a large number of people who have watched him significantly more than you, and all will have come to a different conclusion to you. It's exceptionally rare for one person to be right in a room full of people saying something completely different.
Plange is a different type of player. The type to link play and support the main CF.

    Good.
Much better than throwing soup around galleries. That would be stupid.
I've actually tried to be a better human in some small changes. I do run a bigger diesel vehicle for work though. Which is something I will change when it becomes viable
But I do try to make changes. The most recent we've been talking about is the way we eat. I'm not ready to go full veggie. I don't really want to have to stick to something. But substitutes here and there for things that just help the tiniest fraction and cost me nothing. Brought on by all the information I read and watch. I just thought over the last couple of years how to be better human.
Seeing David Attenborough explaining the damage we're doing to the planet on a nature program did more to make me stop, think and research what I can do.
Milk pours/throwing soup/blocking motorways... I just think they're a********. I think some of them are actually more interested in being on a crusade than caring about the objective. But that's personal opinion.
    There's better ways.
