I assume 5 league games, rather than counting Crewe and Wolves U21 towards the total. In the next 5 games, we play sides who are currently 5th 13th, 16th, 20th and 24th in the table. We shouldn't be settling for anything less than 9 points from those.

The decision would have been made whilst Lampard was manager. It's such a shame as I have no doubt he would have been involved in the first team under Cocu.
He played twice in the League Cup under Pearson, including coming on vs Liverpool, and once more under Rowett in the same competition.

A thread was created just a few days before Warne was appointed, asking a simple question: If not Rosenior, then who would you hire? There were very few people with genuine alternatives to Rosenior. Not a single person suggested Warne.
 
Even on the day of Warne's appointment, there were 85 people with enough foresight to know Warne wouldn't be good enough

Interesting stat - Barker got sacked by Portsmouth in League 2 after only 5 wins in 20 games. They won the 5 games immediately after he was sacked.

You could say the same about England hiring Capello after he won the league title with Real Madrid for the first time in several seasons without actually delving into the details. Warne was never the right fit.

The last time Derby spent a fee was Jozwiak in 2020, with Portsmouth also making a paid transfer in the same window.. In the same period of time that we haven't been able to spend, Portsmouth have chosen not to. In thr 2 years from Feb 2020 to Feb 2022, we spend £1.8m on agents fees to their £350k

Steve Evans has turned Stevenage into a more competent team than Paul Warne has Derby on roughly a fifth of the budget - without the benefit of a category one academy to utilise. 
We’re both playing the same type of football, they’re just better at it. What a sad day in the history of this club. 

Ref is terrible.  Just falling for all their dives and giving us nothing.
Bird and NML giving us a chance forward but need a proper striker really desperately.
