True to the OP’s word their backing was tremendous today made for a great atmosphere to commence the match respect to the Tangerine Army???

We remember how your fans supported us through our darkest hours.
We now have our club back and we are on our way back, but your fans were brilliant at Bloomfield Road singing all the Oyston out songs with us. We had a mini riot during that game, a night match and later that season, we started boycotting games home and away. 
Word is, our fans are 100% behind you during this hopefully short term blip in your great clubs situation.

What might actually have stopped Mel taking Derby down the disastrous route to where we are now is if there'd been a regulator for football overall who had the power to enforce ffp sanctions across both the EFL and the PL. If QPR and Leicester had been prevented from taking up their places in the PL back in 2014 (like Swindon once were from the old Div 2 to Div 1), would MM had even chanced overspending or pulling a too-clever-by-half accounting trick? But the knowledge that you could get away with it if you succeeded, or do something advantageous and slip it past the wide-eyed novices of the EFL executive (ala Watford and Wolves) must emboldened him to the point of hubris. The problem with FFP has always been the unwillingness of the PL to support what the EFL were trying to do. Without that, it's always looked like a chancer's charter, and what egotist can resist such a challenge? 

I don't think he can .....DCFC is a limited organisation so if he walks away the debt doesn't follow him it follows us...also how would it look if he paid the HMRC but then didn't pay other creditors ?? If he was going to pay that bill then surely he would've done so before being put into admin.....also if it was true some players like Buchanan were being touted by clubs for a few million why didn't he sell ?? when Collymore let it out of the bag that we were in deeper trouble than anyone imagined and could mean the club goes under he wasn't wrong and whats more is.....it hasn't happened overnight....well before covid was even mentioned we were being run very badly ....its actually heart breaking whats happened to us it really is ?

Why doesn't Morris just pay the tax bill that he racked up and then all of this debate will be a total irrelevance

What will bother HMRC is if they lose the tax they could have got if they accept a deal, and any future tax on revenues and spending. Just maybe remind them how much tax did they actually collect during Mel Morris tenure. Spending of what £250 million. PAYE of what £100 million. Employer and employee NI £30 milion. Stamp duty on PPS sale £4 milion. VAT etc. So what's that maybe £150 million thanks to Mel's high spending. Ok there's a £20 million shortfall now but on balance if I was the HMRC tax collector I would be very thankful  Mel spent all that money and didnt keep it all in his pocket.   

I for one will be sad to roos go but I guess needs must if we can get close to 3m to 4m I say we shall have to sell and maybe get council paid off and maybe able use rest for wyan try to wheel and deal with.

Norwich, Fulham and Bournemouth are interested, but noooooo our fans say he's rubbish. Almost as though he's a good goalkeeper... but our fans aren't willing to admit they're wrong.
