Have we been much lower than this?
I wasn’t alive the last time we were in the third division. I’ve seen some pretty poor Derby teams, but when taking into account the quality on the pitch now and current league position, has it really been worse than this?
We can point to the 11-point team and the first George Burley side who only just stayed up in the Championship. But both were better than our current side.
I’m not even complaining. Just accepting.
I think our team from 2 seasons ago that narrowly avoided relegation from the Championship was much worse than this team. We were really bad that season.

All went downhill when Hourihane came on. He needs to start showing something because he's been a massive let down for us so far.
At least we have a replay to try to redeem things. I hope Warne tells them some home truths in the dressing room.

I think that Adam Bolder is still registered to play for North Ferriby.

Really cannot remember when Barry Bannon played for us. Assume it must have been briefly on loan from Villa?
Yes, it was over 13 years ago when Nigel Clough was manager. He didn't really make that big of an impact at the time if my memory serves me right.

I'm having the same issue. It's pretty unwatchable at the moment. I've emailed about it, but not sure how quickly they will deal with it.

Probably because he has, unfortunately, been fairly anonymous when he has played and is eased off the ball too easily when on it and easily marked out of the game when not? Which is a shame, because he is a talent.
Sibley doesn't get enough opptunities I think. Other players have ineffectual spells but don't get dropped straight away. Sibley needs a long run in the team to see the best of him.

Is Chris Martin going to be Derby's first signing once Kirchner takes over?

Got to be Curtis Davies. Nobody else comes close.

Been following this club up and down the country for 45 years but if it becomes a new club new beginning down the pyramid ….I’m out !
we will lose fans and before anyone accuses me of not being a proper fan here are my reasonsthe actual core of the club would be ripped out it will only be Derby County in name …it won’t feel the same for me and I won’t go to any games I just don’t think I can summon up the enthusiasm after the last two years and can only apologise
i wont be alone and that’s why I think we have to survive to be taken over but I fear the worst
saying let’s start again a Phoenix club led by fans from scratch etc etc all sounds well and good but it will be heart breaking to see this once great club in such a position it really is soul destroying seeing us in such a mess ….thanks Morris I wish you’d never set foot in PP ??
Personally, I'd find the journey of starting a new club and working our way through the leagues quite an exciting prospect. I am a bit disillusioned by football in general in it's current state anyway as its just all about money now. The lower leagues and non-league are more about the love of football rather than money.
Look at the ridiculous wages, transfer fees and agent fees in the Premier League, it's all gone mental and not in synch with the common fan. Would be better if the whole thing implodes and starts again in a more sustainable form.
I still hope that our club gets saved, but I won't stop supporting a new phoenix club if the worst happens.

I was one who backed/ trusted Morris for a long time so probably one of those being criticised by earlier post but here’s the rub , in my eyes we had a very astute business man at the helm who had made a not so small fortune before buying us , he claimed and appeared to be a true derby fan who saw his role as custodian of the club rather than owner , he constantly told everyone when asked that derby were very much ffp compliant and he was pouring his own money in to build a sustainable premiership club on the lines of a Southampton,
would I have applauded the big spend if I had the slightest idea where this was going and what the man’s actions would eventually be ?
would I helllike a lot of derby fans I / we trusted and were taken in by a so called one of our own who turned out to be someone who took a gamble when we were on the verge of promotion and carried on the gamble until we were/ are almost out of existence , the damage that will do to ordinary people , the city, the county is unforgivable ??♂️
Totally agree with this. The only thing that Morris got right during his tenure was the academy in my opinion.

Louise deserves a run in the team now, especially with Lawrence suspended. He should be one of the first names on the team sheet on Wednesday imo.
-
Strip Lawrence of the captaincy after that, give it to Curtis.

So for a start you have to accept that you are never going to compete with the six or seven clubs that are getting parachute payments every season, which is a massive gap in income, plus the clubs who have currently signed players that they can’t afford.
Any club unilaterally looking to break even are going to be at a huge disadvantage and would be lucky to be in the top half of the Championship, let alone think about promotion. There are only so many rough diamonds you can find in the lower leagues, and as we have found recently, having a great academy doesn’t get you anywhere when the recent rule changes mean Liverpool or Chelsea can poach your best prospects for peanuts.
I think running the club similar to Brentford is a good way forward. They have a good scouting network and get players in for reasonable prices, make them better players, sell them for loads more and then repeat the process again. I would like to see Derby run like that going forward. I bet Brentford's accounts were pretty decent - maybe not break even but nowhere near breaking FFP.

Hopefully it's just a loan.
