I contacted Central News on Friday, and they say they are probably covering the story today and may speak to me later. Big stories on there often get picked up by the ITV National News, so it might be worth more fans dropping them a few messages.

I thought the same. If we can get the Middlesbrough fans on side, then they will have more power over Gibson. I've read a bit of the Boro forum, and some think that blaming us for their failed promotion that season is just an excuse. They ultimately messed up their promotion bid.

I contacted Central News about the situation on Friday. They have just emailed me back and have said they're aware of the situation and are planning on covering the story tomorrow. They might be phoning me if they do. Hopefully from there, we can get this national.

I have emailed Rishi Sunak with this point. Hopefully he reads my email and gets involved:

I've emailed Heather Wheeler, Nigel Huddlestone and Rishi Sunak. I've emailed Sunak because all of this means that the HMRC could end up missing out on millions of pounds. If we all email everyone we can club, who knows, it might work!

Why don't we all put a tenner in each, convert the money in to 1p coins and deliver them all to the Riverside Stadium in a big truck. That would be Gibson's compensation sorted!

If we end up needing a new manager any time soon, Paul Cook would be near the top of the list for me. Yes, he's had a bad spell at Ipswich, but he's done really well at his previous clubs and could be the man to rebuild Derby. I'm sure he'd have learnt from his mistakes at Ipswich.
Other managers that have done well for Derby had been sacked at other clubs beforehand (Jim Smith, George Burley and Steve McClaren all come to mind). So, him being sacked wouldn't worry me too much.

Hopefully it was this guy that someone mistaken for Mel Morris. He would have enough money to sort this mess out

Very sad news. He was a big part of Derby's successes whilst Jim Smith was manager. I believe he worked for Derbyshire cricket club after he left Derby, I regularly heard him on Radio Derby. RIP.

Does he reveal what possessed him to start Mason Bennett up front at Wembley and why he thought it was a good idea to splash out over £10m on Malone, Jozefzoon and Waghorn?

Yeah, I mean desperately unlucky losing two key players to injury in the first game of season. but why not use the loan market FFS?
We could have gone for Joey Barton at the time on a short term free transfer. He went to Burnley instead and was a key player in their promotion. Would have been a cheaper option for us.

Colin is back presenting the Burton match on Radio Derby today, good to hear him back on the station. I wonder if he has now left Rams TV?

If this is what “ one of our own” does, then I hope to God that we never have another.
We used to sing about Mason Bennett being one of our own, that didn't turn out well either.

Oh FFS he can’t be serious in regards to the Academy
If he wants us to use more academy players, why has he got Rooney as manager? The young players have regressed since he took charge. Would be better just putting Wassall in charge, at least he knows how to get the best out of them all. Rooney won't even pick Sibley!

I'm gutted that Pereplotkins, Kaźmierczak, Ian Feuer or Liam Dickinson aren't on there.
