  1. So laid up at home after motorbike accident.  Binge watching a number of shows

slow horses; love it follows a group of sub level failures from MI5 as they stupidly run into danger caused by enemies and friends.  Well written with a good pace to

for all mankind;  follows  future of space travel if the Russians had got to the moon first.  Bit slow early doors but gathers pace with some likable characters.

silo; slow to start but gets better and second series on the way.  Rebecca Ferguson stars.  People stuck in a silo where they are told the outside world means certain death

foundation; deathly slow with occasional bursts of speed.  Has a dune element to it but far too pompous and dragged out.  Worth a watch but only with access to strong meds

monarch; never a Godzilla film style fan so watch under sufferance.  Story line has a few hooks which will make me come back I think

reacher #2; liked 1 and this is more of the same involves investigation team operating just inside law mostly against organized crime.  Easy watch

hopefully of some use to somebody

Having an opinion doesn't make you wrong does it.

8 of us here have just watched the penalty decision, 2 think it was and 6 think it wasn't.

IMO the camera angle made it impossible for me at least to see the amount of contact.  Ref was much closer than me

I'm at the other end of the spectrum, i'm afraid.  Absolute tosh, watched it with the wife and both think it was a waste of over two hours.  Expected better from the cast but i must need spoonfeeding i guess 😁

I don’t get the references to the deer and other wildlife (ie flamingoes).  Basically toys with a natural catastrophe then forgets it instantly.why does the daughter disappear without a word, why is the fantastic fallout shelter accessible and abandoned.  Hate it more because there is a groundswell that if you don’t like it it is because you a thick.

Awful news, devastating for his poor family, I hope they know how much he meant to his fellow fans. He was unique, one of a kind, staying strong and positive because he truly believed in the club. Rest in peace Daniel.

That’s awful news and knocks you back on your heels in shock, what was his original ‘handle’ B4ev1s etc something like that

In what way does that justify systematic slaughter of innocent civilians? "oh, but they don't support democracy"?

Why is such barbarism allowed? Hamas hide behind a human shield, so Israeli forces shoot the innocent people being used like that?

Tell me one film where the bad guy takes a hostage, holds a gun to their head, and the cop unloads his full clip into both of them?

Why is such a disproportionate response not only allowed, but actively defended?

clearly if you do not defend it or, worse, criticise it you stand the risk of being tarred as an antisemite.  it feels as though there is an agenda to maintain the polarisation at all costs.  Nothing good will come of that apart for the money men supplying arms

Wow, this thread's become a cesspit hasn't it?

IMO this thread is not a cesspit.  A massive issue that has been discussed here with incredible care and balance.  Not sure you will find another like this conducted in a similar manner.  Pretty much compliments to all the posters including @Carl Sagan .  I have found it illuminating.

At no stage did Crewe ever look like the team from a higher division.

We bossed the ball for 90 minutes, but for 85 of them we never looked like scoring or when we did get carve a sight of goal we fluffed it.

Where we annoyed the bejesus out of me was with yet another pair of soft, soft goals conceded out of low danger situations. Teams have always got a chamce against us, especially if we don't score early and they can stay compact and wait for the c***-up.

We got out of jail. Bring on err, Wolves youth team. Sigh.

Thought their first goal was a good one really.  Perfect delivery and the forward only needs to gamble where it will go and it is nigh on impossible to stop

A Government Department which deals in Billions if not Trillions of £s, My Daughter is a Senior offshore VAT Investigator, The stories she tells me on the QT are shocking on how debts are written off as the owner/company have no assets allegedly, Her team worked on the Harry Rednapp tax case...they all thought they had won, Until the Jury fell for the "i'm not that clever and my dog ate all my invoices"

I'm currently being chased for my deceased Brothers tax(self employed)from 2019/2020 and 2020/2021, All because I had to go to his bank stop all payments and sign a form stating I was his personel representative.

PS they wont get a penny from myself.

surely they can only come after you in your limited capacity as an executor

Well, tell me what you are doing then? Every positive or even undecided post, you are responding with another criticism. Not just on this thread, but all over the Board. Not just today but over months and months.

I'm not surprised you disagree with me, because I try to wait for facts before I rush to judgement. I can only judge what is in front of me. What is in front of me for you,  is a string of very negative posts based on nothing in particular, that just further adds to the feeding frenzy.

I get you're worried, I am worried, the worst may happen. But it might not. There'll be bad stuff to come, there might be some good stuff, I don't know.

Anyway, I will put you on ignore now, it will be better for you and for me.

Proud moment on ignore from a mod.   How many more facts do you need to see?

Yes I've been going on for ages because I was worried where he was taking us and received a fair amount of criticism for saying so.  You and others were not and I wont forget being accused of not being right minded.

I even sent you a PM about a shirt auction because I knew you had expressed an interest in the past.

I have always tried to treat everybody's comments with respect even if I wholeheartedly disagreed with the stance and I won't apologize for having my own views

That's pretty much my take with what is going off here and in his own way I think he might be doing because he thinks it the best for the club because the "reward" here is actually potentially pretty high in terms of our relative position. Theoretically it could force a buyer to the table ASAP to essentially get in ahead of going into adminstration, if that happens they could choose to wipe out the debts entirely solving the financial issues, with new owners at the help it probably leads to an easing of tensions with the EFL with us perhaps getting off lighter than under MM and if that happens our position in the championship looks more stable.

I think that's the gamble; he's bet the club on an outcome where we become a financially stable club in the championship with issues with the EFL settled.

trouble is Morris history of gambling on our club's future is very poor

Why did people give you grief for that?

I can't stop thinking the worst and that sounds like the most positive thing that could happen?

I recall saying that it may flush out buyers who were otherwise waiting for a better time to buy, now there is real motivation to get a deal done because after the admin is in we look a lot worse.  Much now depends whether Morris leaves the admin as long as possible, surely he can give is until the end of next week?

Firstly, I don’t really think we’d get away with it or even attempt to. I’m just clutching at straws, but, if it did happen, how wouldn’t it help?

I agree it’s not going to prevent what might happen in terms of fire sale/administration but if, for argument sake, the EFL did agree that the club going into administration was due to force majeure and didn’t impose the 12 point penalty, it could mean the difference between relegation and staying up. We’d still be in a mess but slightly less of one and a little more attractive to any potential buyer.

I would emphasise again that I really don’t think it would happen so, no need for anyone to ridicule the concept. I’ve already dismissed it.

I am also clutching on this particular straw
