It is interesting to me that if we had played the way we did in the first half for the whole game and finished those chances the response would have been massively different.
The team were clapped off at half time, the fans were on the whole excited for a less pedestrian approach and it wasn't hoof ball but a quicker progression of play and Vale were on the back foot for a lot of it.
The fans were off their seats expecting a goal way more than we have been.
The second half changed with the two brain dead decisions from our players, firstly to conceded the second peno and then the sending off. After that happened we went long aimless ball and played into their hands and the football was awful.

I'll take us playing like we did in the first half any time over passing it around at the back for 30 mins out of the 45 and possibly mustering a shot once a half.
I'll give Warne no criticism for that second half as the team went away from his direction and the errors were all our own making (peno, sending off, losing the ball running in front of our back 4 when a simple pass is on etc) and I'm not a clapper, just feel I am more of a realist when I'd seen the posative reaction of the fans after that first half.

Sod it, I’m buying a bobble hat.

I just want to say how lucky you are to have Paul Warne as manager. I've supported the millers for 69 years. Obviously, I've seen managers come and go during that period. As far as I'm concerned, and many other fans Warne is the best manager we've had.
Like Derby fans we went through some dark times. Administration points deducted, lost our ground, forced to play in Sheffield in an athletic stadium. No atmosphere, 4 years in the 4th division.
Paul has many qualities. Excellent staff management, a workaholic. He's articulate, honest and will live and breathe Derby County.
I thank him for all the memories, 3 Wembley wins 3 promotions and I wish him well and as a consequence wish the Rams well. I've never had a second team, but for the first time Derby County will be my second team. I look forward to seeing Paul succeed. 
Hopefully Derby will be promoted and we survive in the championship and look forward to see you at the New York stadium.

Style of football doesn’t bother me, particularly if we’re droning on about ‘attractive’ football
It doesn’t matter how it looks and I should be clear that the doesn’t mean defensive, scrappy 1-0’s are what get me out of bed in the morning
What you need to be truly successful and entertain the fans is to score loads of goals
If we do that with a team of lads all over 6’2 playing longball or with a bunch of Tom Carroll’s and Max Bird’s hogging 70% of possession every week, we’ll all bloody love it
A quick look at Rotherham’s league finishes under Warne shows they consistently scored more goals than the teams around them when they were promoted AND when they were relegated.
Big fan of Rosenior but never managing to get one of McGoldrick or Collins consistently starting and scoring is part of why he’s gone.
Don’t give a toss how anyone does it at this point, if Warne gets them scoring no one else will either

Not happy about Warne purely for ‘that reaction’ when we stayed up, if there’s one thing I’m good at it’s holding a grudge. 
that being said, if he comes in and gets us promoted I might get his face tattooed on my arse.

Been going with my dad to the matches for 30 years and don't ever recall him calling for the managers head.
Last Tuesday after the Lincoln match he said he thought Rosenior was out of his depth and, may be a good coach, just not a good manager.
Just for clarity, I am not David Clowes son either.

Good insight into what he looks for in a player and how he signs them. He speaks well. A qualified teacher too. Hopefully fares better than Clement.

On weather we can bring a few more people in to give that competition for places in case of injuries. 
 
On how long it takes to gel as we’ve only been together for a few weeks when others have been together a while. 

And that is what this type of workout is for. Better communication at the back as they grow together and face this type of opposition as well as learning who makes what runs and plays whats balls as you go forward. Get your legs and lungs in and positional awareness in a formation.
You'll concede some as you play but also score some, and with lovely quality as well like we did as we do.
 
I'm sure Liam will be very happy with what he's seen so far.
