  1. So disappointing to lose someone that was such a big part of last season.

However, it’s good that we haven’t gone lashing money out to try and keep him, with this being a decision from the heart for Didz it would have cost a lot to persuade him to stay.

Now we can make longer term decisions for the future of the team.  Bring somebody in who can grow and develop beyond the two years McGoldrick probably has left.

Thanks for the fleeting visit Didz, you are some footballer and goal scorer.  Hope it’s the ending to your career that you are after.

  2.  the one thing that made Sunday easier was that we wouldn’t have been able to sign decent champ players if we had gone up, so waiting another year wasn’t so bad. 😫

This is of course Great news and with the teams coming down against the teams going up hopefully have a playoff place in us this time at least

my issue is we knew this in pre season

our recruitment was poor from minute one with all the wages we have dished out.

it needs to be right this summer otherwise we will be in trouble

    Are you sure?

we are all cheesed off but mate, have a breather FFS.

The restrictions we have on us mean we were not shopping at the same places as others pre-season.

players in their prime don’t come for free and on 5k a week.

Serious question Suffolk...how many do you think we need as in player wise for next season in League1 as this is where I expect us to be, 12+ as we need a bigger squad than this season

Good question, need some serious numbers in but with the EFL limitations that are imposed on us it’s going to be nigh on impossible.  Of course we could get bodies in the building, but they have to be right and good enough.

We need another GK to push Wildsmith.  dads army at the back might find another year too much, Smith and Sibley have been okay but we need fullbacks, so another 4/5 there.  Another couple of strikers and we need to cover the loans going back to there clubs too.  as you say getting on for 12 easy.

however how many does Warne want rid of, who doesn’t fit his plans going forward?
    How many want to leave?

Just hope relations with the EFL are thawing and we can get some loosening of restrictions.

  5. What game was it when he came on and put a decent effort over the bar?

Wonder if that was his “sliding doors” moment?  Put that chance in and his confidence rises and he becomes a regular?
There seems to be a player there, hopefully he goes from strength to strength and forges a decent career for himself.

  6. The worst thing he did was get us on that unbeaten run across the end of last year.  fans went from being happy to compete and see the club alive kicking to expecting promotion.

Looks a long way off now, don’t have much confidence that he can right things this season.

Needs an overhaul in the close season, get rid of the footballers and get some more direct players in that suit what he wants us to do.

who knows if that’s the right way to go, but in Clowes I trust.

Not to my knowledge.  Having turned down a huge 30 k from our' friends' at Palace, they've paid sod all whilst pocketing a 6 month loan fee probably in the 250 k region.

Think they are trying to clawback some of the outlay on Plange.  We did well on that deal but Palarse are taking the pish with the offer for Ebiowei

Is there someone out there in our football authority world who has the balls to re view and retrospectively charge that phucker for diving...No!...I thought not ?

Thing is authroties will use video footage to retrospectively catch a violent act on the pitch so why not this?  Difficult if its subjective and contact has been made, but were there is daylight get them punished.

  9. A culture change is needed in football.  This talk of winning penalties, attackers being clever is ridiculous, when a player dives call it out for the cheating that is.

You think these ex-pros would take the same opinion if it happened against them when they played.  don’t think Cowley would have been that understanding if mcgoldrick had done that when we played them at fratton park!

When it’s as obvious as it was last night it needs to be dealt with retrospectively.  Doesn’t help us but it should be punished.

  10. Great watch, “boardroom battles, threat of bankruptcy “ the first couple of minutes could be talking about the start of this season.

From Jobey to Morris, what is it about our club that we seem to attract so much mismanagement over the years?

  11. I thought we were good,  Bolton were relentless, would have been nice to get it down and play but we weren’t given time.  not the best conditions to play football in. Sibley is getting better every game in his new role and getting forward well too.  The only thing I can find fault with is Warnes need to go into ninja mode on the touch line.  Bobble hat pulled down and scarf pulled up under eyes. ? it was Bolton not the artic bleeding circle!! Must have been a sickly child?
