Usually glass half full merchant with Sibley but I thought he was off it last night, almost cost us a goal on 80minutes when he didn’t follow Elliot into the box allowing him to get a shot away.

Well played lads, don’t know about Dobbin taking 5th pen though, hardly confident in front of goal before that

Lost signal here too, back now

I thought when the change was made it was to fast track promotion with a proven league 1 manager rather than wait for Liam to find his feet.
If we now have to give Warne time to create the team he wants I would have preferred to stick with Liam.
That being said we have to stick with and support Warne, apart from anything else we cannot afford to pay off the 4 years of his and his team’s contracts.
To change now sends us into Morris territory again

Warnes comments on Barks’ and Chester’s injuries seemed more damning. Seemingly surprised at their injuries, almost like he didn’t believe them

Devoid of the basics, passes misplaced, lack of control, slow as Sh*t. Definitely not playing as a cohesive unit, lots of individuals.

Looking like it will be about 32 degrees for the game on Saturday. I cannot remember going to a match in such a hot temperature. The hottest I can remember was when we played at Fulham back in the Jim Smith years (0.0 I think). Must have been the first away game of the season and it was roasting in the old cramped wooden stand (the away fans were housed along the side in those days) and what a relief to get out into the fresh air at the end.
Remember the Fulham game well, the bar ran out of drinks at halftime.

Use to love the first team squad posters, would love it if they came back, definitely buy one for my son, and one for the home office of course!

Again, in the ex-Ram section of the forum. He is an ex-Ram. There are plenty of threads on the forum that has nothing to do with Derby.

He was impressive whenever he got the ball, mostly. One occasion I remember with a stray pass, but other than that looked really tidy. His mentality was to take people on, used his pace well and got in a few decent crosses. He looked a real handful for the first 15 minutes and then we stopped playing it down that side. Came back into the game a lot more in the second half and again looked useful. His goal was very good!
If I remember rightly having made the stray pass he tackled back got the ball and set us on our way again. That was good to see.

I think our home prices are reasonable, can't blame Stevenage from making a few bob from a 'big' club (and beating us to boot!)
Not a dig at us, god knows we need the money and it only cost £23 for me and my two sons to watch the Berlin game. Just the petrol for a return trip from Ipswich that made it an expensive day.

Wasn’t great!
im guessing your glass half full.
Here’s my opinion, not worth the 15 quidNo Friendlies are worth it. They are opportunities to try new players, formations and tactics. They are glorified training matches.
Friendly game ticket prices should be more subsidised than they are, but that’s another story.- Kathcairns and Crewton

Wasn’t great but not worried, lots of changes in a game played on hottest day on record.
Players learning new patterns of play and getting to know many new teammates. Manager learning the ropes also.
-
Loved it today, it definitely felt a little emotional to back at PP, didn’t always think that we would have a team to watch there. It’s great that all the fans could concentrate on the game without the worry, fear and anger of last year.
Decent performance, quite pleased with the fullbacks and mcgoldrick looked great, real cut above.
quite positive for the season after today.

No, top 6 and play-offs since the transfers have started coming in, prior to that mid-table was my hope and expectation.
All depends on how Liam can get the team to gel in the first couple of months.

Wonder if his move back to DC will prompt Mr Clowes to speed up the process of officially appointing Liam as manager?

This must have been in the offing when he left. Been nice of him to stay a few more days and guarantee us some compo.

Why not?
Yeah, that’s my poorly put question. Could players with contracts that run beyond the takeover also rip them up?
if that’s the case Derby have a big fight on their hands that affects the whole of football.
This is another example of footballers wanting it every which way. Take the extension you signed on for and we can sell you if it’s not possible to persuade you to stay.
-
TUPE is only an issue for the extensions that have been triggered, could a player rip up a contract if it ran for a further 2 years anyway without clauses?

He ran in behind Thommo and on in front of Sibley who didn’t react.
