How many comments will we now get about "conditional on the sale of the stadium"?
Just let people enjoy this one for the time being. It's a ray of light that we haven't had over the past 9 months.

I was hoping the parties would come together and announce something.
Apparently, mean Mr Mustard has complained that we never give him our money, Rooneys struggling to carry that weight, and now the end is nigh.

Jon Bon Pony reacted to Ram@Lincoln in Chris Coles leaving Radio Derby in July
Ramage racially identified and used prejudicial language to generalise that all the black players we had didn't work hard enough or behave in a way that one should, i.e. how a white player would behave. He could've moaned and slagged off players for lack of effort and professionalism without bringing their race into the picture. It's absolutely abhorrent and not something the BBC should be airing.

I think he wants to buy the stadium first. Then gamble on nobody else wanting to buy the club if they can't have access to the ground at least by lease (which he could then easily refuse). Then because nobody else would be interested in the club, bid the absolute minimum he can for it screwing over legitimate creditors (again). Morris wouldn't mind because he'd get his money, and Ashley would get the club he wants on the cheap, the super rich guys win again.

Fully agree with the last sentence.
I think the only reason it hasn't been the case already is that Morris maybe has a written agreement to give preferred bidders first refusal.
But as it is, Morris doesn't need to drop his price demands because he knows if push comes to shove, he'll get his money from MA anyway.

At the time we signed Beck, my dad had a workmate that was a Boro fan. The Boro fan actually rang my dad up when it was announced that we'd signed Beck to apologise... and laugh.

Jon Bon Pony reacted to Ravabeerbelly in Player Of The Season / Young Player Of The Season
How anyone can look beyond Max Bird for young player of the SEASON is beyond me.
The ‘kid’ has started 38 games this season and barely been substituted! His pass completion from nearly 2000 passes is 82%, he averages nearly 50 passes a game, he has scored twice and has 2 assists from a deep midfield position for a team that’s effectively in the bottom 8 of the championship!!!
How Cashin / Festy / Plange / Thompson (as well as they’ve done) can be voted for ahead of him after just a handful of games is incredible. Each to their own I guess but for me Player of the Season should be exactly that and criteria no 1 should be having played more than half the games!!!

Unfortunately, 'woke' is an insult thrown about by people who ought to be just a little more 'woke' themselves.

I see people couldn’t resist using the term “woke” ….I refer them to Kathy Burke. “I love being woke it’s so much better than being an ignorant ducking t**t””

Completely unnecessary for them to put the tweet out.
If they have heard something do some digging in the background.
Putting tweets out like that with everything we've been through and the countless times we've heard a PB will be announced shortly, imminently, within a week etc is just ridiculous.

Agree with pretty much all of this @BramcoteRam84. I doubt very much Mel is part of any bid but he will want to know what bidders want to do with the ground (buy, lease, cost, etc).
I’ve started to think the same about BAWT too. Just over a week ago they did a Twitter poll as to whether people had lost faith in Quantuma. I think that was out of order. It’s divisive at a time when they should be uniting supporters. Last week they published a blog called “storm clouds gathering” which added fuel to the liquidation rumours and they they’re doing the same with the MM speculation. All smacks a bit of attention seeking to me and unprofessional. Ramstrust may have received criticism in the past, but they only tweet/blog, etc when there are facts to report (not a member btw).

Mel Morris is NOT directly involved in any dealings. He’s part of the deal as he owns the stadium. Unless there was another stadium that can accommodate 30k+ That we can move to. Mel will be involved in all deals. That rumour about him buying/investing is bull.

Everyone is obviously entitled to their own opinions but, as I said in an earlier post, the club is far more important to me than any single person and, if he was still at the club, I personally wouldn't let his involvement stop me coming to PP and supporting my team.

At least some sensible posts amongst the last 20hrs. The wording from Monday's mtg never said it would be announced, just interpretation, surprised it took 3 days for the penny to drop with the journalists, they are normally so good at usage of vocabulary to sensationalise things and report without actually having 'facts' to back up a story.
Anyway, what difference does another week make in the grand scheme of things?
Enjoy the international games as a distraction and count yourself lucky you don't live close to Russia

What if Bryson and Hughes hadn't both got long term injuries right at the end of the transfer window. This led to the panic buys of Butterfield and Johnson together with their wages, which then started the spiralling out of control wages throughout the squad.
If those injuries had occurred a week later, we may have suffered that season, but I don't think we'd be in the position we are now.

Unfortunately you can't really blame him. Even if we were in a relatively normal situation a move to either Serie A or a team coming down from the prem would be difficult to fend off. At the moment it's just completely impossible. No-one can speak about the agent or the player's motives with any degree of accuracy so it's better just to leave it on that score. He's a very good impact player who is very raw. He could be a diamond in the future or end up closer to coal if he doesn't get his technique, vision and general awareness sorted. I'll be sad to see him go as he's put in a good shift and has shown passion for the shirt like everyone else this season.
