I hope so, but I just don't know. In fact I can't find details around what the actual claims are about anywhere. It's astonishing the EFL haven't stepped in yet, unless there's more to it than is being disclosed.

Disgusting. We’re all smarting from what’s happened but being vindictive is just pathetic. As has been mentioned, he donated to charities to the tune of millions and to local hospitals.
Surely, as a fan base, we’re better than this?

Count me out. This is just pure revenge and we ought to be better than that, apart from the fact that it would do nothing to benefit Derby County.
It’s not going to happen anyway.

Mel called out the EFL for agreeing to a crap TV deal - they didn't like that..... Mel questioned whether they were the best people to run the league - they didn't like that either..... Mel thought he was cleverer than the EFL by finding a number of legitimate ways through their poorly thought-through/written 'rules' - they didn't like that at all..... Mel put the club into admin thinking there was a valid case to argue against the 12 points - they hated that as it might have opened the floodgates for other clubs to follow..... Mel left the building - the EFL didn't care because by then the terms Derby County and Mel Morris were interchangeable in their eyes. The EFL did their very best to kill Derby County - they may still have succeeded.....we shall see.

This complex for taking nothing into account but your hatred of one individual is beyond strange.
Acknowledging the faults of other parties isn't absolving Mel Morris of blame for his own actions.

You're right in much of what you say, but the EFL did introduce some new sanctions in June of this year, purely coincidentally of course, which had the effect of strangling DCFC alone in respect of making changes to the playing squad.
And they've never adequately addressed the transgressions of teams who cheated and connived their way to promotion and, in one case, the PL title. So forgive me if I don't hold them in quite such high regard.

Except the EFL originally signed off the amortisation approach and then changed their minds after allegedly receiving pressure from other clubs.
They didn't accept the result of the first hearing - so spat their dummies out with an appeal.
Continually pushed to have the points penalty applied last season so thus their actions were trying to punish us last year.
Ignoring the above, and going with the black/white - the EFL's rules are punishing the fans and not the owners who are responsible.
So yes, whilst Morris and Co have done an unbelievably bad job running this club financially, the EFL have also not covered themselves in much glory.

What still amazes is after all this time is that the only thing we have been found guilty of is not putting proper notes in the accounts when we changed them which were approved by an accoutancy company, by the efl & more accountants - which we got a 100k fine for

Having empathy for Mel is not the same as being 'pro-Morris'. Even Mel's most ardent supporters, a faction whose numbers diminish by the day, would admit he has ducked up royally. I retain some sympathy for the man, but that does not infer I'm blind to his failings. This isn't a binary assessment and in the view of many, the EFL have more than amply played their part.
Once this 'process' is completed, I've little doubt that the truth will out and even less doubt that it will paint either Mel or the EFL in anything close to a favourable light. I'm not blind to Mel's part in this debacle, nor do I believe for one moment that those criticising the EFL are either.

gfs1ram reacted to Steve Buckley’s Dog in Charlton Athletic and Ipswich Town to sue Derby County
Charlton Athletic are set to sue Derby County for £25 million after the ball burst in the 1946 FA Cup Final. If it hadn’t burst then we might have won or got some good players or something, said a Charlton spokesman. Meanwhile Ipswich Town also announced they were going to sue Derby County due to some reason or other. We might have won more games if they hadn’t beaten us in them, cited an Ipswich spokesman. It simply wasn’t fair that they had better players and scored more goals. We want £40 million and Martyn Waghorn back.
Meanwhile American fast food chain McDonalds announced that they were going to sue Derby County for fielding a player with their brand name. Flagrant breach of copyright, claimed a spokesman for the evil corporation.
In other news the EFL announced a further 9 points deduction for Derby County after the midlands side finished their 0-0 draw against Swansea with 5 full backs on the pitch. Everyone knows you should have two full backs, said a source close to Rick Parry. Derby ended the game with 5 players who full back could be considered their tecognised position. That is clearly too many. We checked the rules but couldn’t find anything specific about this so we all agreed that 3 points per extra full back sounded about right.

Meanwhile Wycombe have announced they aren’t going to sue Derby County for getting them relegated by buying Nick Blackman when they were two leagues below after they realised it was totally ridiculous and so far fetched as to be laughable.

I don’t hate Mel, he gambled and lost. I didn’t hear many dissenting voices when we had that mad season of spending.

Unfortunately it was Mels responsibility to run the club properly and he and Mr Pearce failed to do that.
yes it’s due to those two that we are in this mess but they didn’t set out to do this, but should have been more diligent

I would presume the administrators are not emotionally involved in their task other than a successful outcome for their company. They have complete access to all the information available while we only have bits and rumours.
If they believe there is a case to be made with the points then it could potentially make us far more saleable.
To liken them to a pound shop Mel Morris makes you appear like you want them, and Derby, to fail.

Anyone arguing that appealing is a waste of money and we should have used it for those that have been made redundant need to realise that without appealing there’s a good chance more jobs will be lost if we end up in league 1. If we stay in the Championship by a point or 2 because of a won appeal, then we’re protecting more jobs in the longer term and those that lost jobs may possibly get them back.
