Which means that, on the day, the defending side defended better than the attacking team attacked. There is, as some have suggested, some luck attached, but most of it is down to a well planned and well drilled defensive formation doing its job.

I agree mostly. All I'm saying is that in my opinion it was mostly luck with some of it being down to defending well.

Well, we did, actually, not least when Jackson scored - or do you think that was some other kind of goal?

You mean the standard practice of leaving one player up the pitch when defending corners. Great assist from one of our players for the goal as well wasn't it.

Jackson came out at such a pace that Jones was spooked into hurrying his backpass. Jackson was his own assist. It was exactly what pressing is all about, and exactly what counter-attacking is all about. If you want to redefine what counter-attacking is, you're going to have allot of work to do to convince the football analysts, because all of the usual stats sites have classed that as a c/a goal.

Ozoh also had a good go at a solo counter attack but should have looked around him because there was support arriving either side of him.

You need some support around that massive hole you've dug before it collapses under the weight of opinion crowding in on it and crushes you.

They basically made a mistake that Jackson was in the position to pounce on and have the speed and skill to turn it into a goal , they never gave him a goal , they never played a perfectly weighted pass to him , he and derby team earned that goal by being in the perfect position to put pressure on them and make the most of any error, errors that teams make for many reasons many times in many games, well done derby  and Jackson , defended superbly and took your chance when it came ,, 3 points and on to the next game 💪

🤣🤣🤣

i already said previously it was a great finish by jackson. However, there is no way you can claim we created that. Jackson pushed out the box when the corner was cleared, just like every single team does at all levels of football. He then ran in the direction of the ball and their defender chose to pass it back to his keeper. He hit the pass to short, which therefore created the chance for jackson to score. Whether this happens "many times in many games" or not is irrelevant. It doesn't change the fact that we as a team didnt create the chance to score, we were given it.

Nope ,, Jackson created the chance aided by his team who between them and Jackson closed in on the boro player and closed down his options he felt under pressure and crumbled , it was a very very good goal

Second, DC has a difficult balancing act.  He loves Derby, but he is legally and morally obliged not to piss away the millions that his Dad secured for future generations.

The owner of our club is Clowes Developments, not Clowes. They are owned by The Clowes Trust.

CD/TCT will be taking into account the net cost of owning the club, rather than the rather than the P/L at the bottom of the club's balance sheet. For example, after accounting for corporation tax, an £8m club loss, is only an £6m cost to the parent company (due to them paying less tax on a smaller profit).

I'd expect Clowes to gave agreed a figure that that be used (lost) along with other CD/TCT directors.
