Playing-wise, barring one unbelievable season aside he was just a tidy, energetic midfielder who would stretch the play. Shackell should’ve been POTY in 11/12. And then off the pitch, he tried to force a move to Burnley in 2014 which resulted in us giving him a contract worth £5,000,000.
