If there’s an advantage it will be late in the game, so if it’s still 0-0 at about 65 mins I expect us to really push on. Even with substitutions they will be susceptible to attacks at pace. For this reason I don’t want to see PW taking CBT or Nat off around that time (unless we are 2-0 up or more of course).

Well here's a first. We're in complete agreement 😂

Hopefully we crack on early doors though as there'll be some frayed nerves if it's still goalless at the 65 minute mark, not least my own!

Hi All, I hope you are all good? Come in peace, I just wanted to let those who are driving down know about things to think about before getting to the ground.

At the moment, there are 2 different sets of roadworks that have temp traffic lights. One is on a busy bit of the A40 and the other is on Lane End Road (the road that links to the stadium's road). I hope that makes sense? If the M40 is trouble-free, I'd go down to Junction 4, that way you'll miss the first set of roadworks. However, the M40 has been an accident hotspot of late so judge when you get closer to the area.

Hope everyone has a safe journey down

Thanks for the useful info, much appreciated. I’ve got a ticket in your lovely looking car park but I’ve heard it’s a nightmare to get away at the end. Is it worth it, or am I better off parking somewhere else and walking down?

Does anyone know if Adams finishes his Ramadan fasting today?

It's been a bloody good effort from him given his form and whilst I guess you'd adapt to it I still can't help but think of exercise (let alone professional sports) without water and some calories as borderline impossible.

I've read through your comments, some of your points are valid and I can understand where you've come from and some are a little outdated.

In the past and under Gareth Ainsworth, we were the masters of the dark arts and I'll be the first to admit that the football was sometimes very horrible to watch but he did guide us to our most successful period which causes a lot of our fans to ignore our style of play. However, this season has been a change under Matt Bloomfield. He has been willing to move away from the slow game and look to try and get some more "flow" into our game. Hopefully those at the game and watching at home might see a bit of difference. This change has been more noticeable since Jan Transfer Window when we brought in new players. I think it's safe to say that Stevenage and Northampton have looked at the dark-arts this season and have mild moments of success with it.

Your stats for the season as a whole would suggest your style of play hasn't improved as much as you think it has.

Possession: 19th
Aerial battles: 3rd
Pass accuracy: 21st
Long passes: 3rd
Short passes: 20th
Passes per sequence: 21st
10+ pass sequences: 22nd
Built up attack sequences: =21st

👍 No doubt an early goal is what we really need to settle nerves…

Didn't Ramdan end yesterday? Today being the first day of Shawwal with fasting being prohibitted.

Personally, I'd try and park somewhere else. Parking at the ground, you are held for (at least 25 minutes) for the fans to leave and the road to be clear of fans walking home / to their cars. That being said, I'd look at the roads in the area to park on and walk, parking at the industrial areas can also be chaos and then you are trying to drive through a road with all the fans walking down.

I'm not going to lie, we have one of the worst placed grounds in the country. While the scenery looks lovely in the spring & summer, it does seem to take an age to move anywhere.

I'm not hiding behind any of those stats and I did say it was since January things had started to improve, not August. Rome wasn't built in a day and we still have a lot of players who played under Gareth Ainsworth style.

Just out of interest, what were our stats for the previous years @Ghost of Clough?

Our bench is a bit threadbare at the moment, if Ward is out then its even weaker.

Think for a team that has scored a lot of goals in the last 15, we're ironically looking to score 1/2 before 70 minutes tonight as we don't have many game changers to steal us a result.

Yep, fair play to him. I spent the first day of Ramadan in Saudi this year and was going to give joining in the fast a go out of politeness but the very second the people I was working with offered to allow us to drink some water and have a smoke, I caved...... and that was before 9am 😄

I'm sure he'll be getting plenty of nutrition today

Let's just hope he's not full of Eid sweet treats! The sugar rush is something  else.

The Flint Cottage isn't bad for a drink however I don't remember if it does food. You have the Falcon which is a Wetherspoons if you want a pint and something to eat and thats at the bottom of the hill and towards the middle of town. Bear in mind, you'll have a taxi journey to get to the ground from the Station, I wouldn't walk it as it's too far away

Just making our way to the Hourglass pub , about 10/15 mins from ground, aim to stay there now till time to go to the ground , few Rams fans milling about in town all in good spirits COYR

Just a warning @Premier ram that's its normally a Home Only pub so you might be moved on but just check with the people behind the bar.
