Sorry but both Nelson and Cashin was excellent again a 8 for both, best centre half pairing at this level.

1Wildsmith 6 No shots of note to save but uncharistically flappy at the end.

24Nyambe 6. Not his best game by far but defensively untroubled.

7Barkhuizen. 6. Vital role in the move for the winner.

35Nelson. 8 As per

6Cashin. 8 Immense. Saw off Ikpeazu largely unscathed.

3Forsyth. 6.5. A few glitches but defensively sound.

4Hourihane.  6 A couple of decent through balls, but a bit too peripheral for a higher mark.

17Sibley.  6

2Wilson. 8.5 His best 90 minutes to date.

22Fornah. 7. One or two errors but covered allot of ground and busy around the PV area.

8Bird. 7.  Lower profile but allot of good work.

11Méndez-Laing.  6.5. Not at his best but always a threat

5Bradley. 6

9Collins. 7.  Led the line well and grafted.

19John-Jules. 7. Cool finish with his first touch. Promises much if he can stay fit.

1Wildsmith 6: shots-wise had the night off but had to srcummage & punch on a few crosses.

24Nyambe 6.5 Had to work hard to repel his opponent.

7Barkhuizen 6 Late fresh legs

35Nelson 8. Colossal.

6Cashin 9 MotM. Marked the pterodactyl Ikpeazu out of the game with a masterclass of stout resistance.

3Forsyth 6.5 Slotted back in seemlessly.

4Hourihane 6.0 In the quarter-back role; busy. Some of his dead balls were short and wasted.

17Sibley 6.0 Late fresh legs.

2Wilson 7.5 Mercurial feet danced his full-back into successive spins and a few telling crosses. Brought a good save from Ripley.

22Fornah 7.0 Brought constant presence and possession but tired notably.

8Bird 7.0 Always in the thick of a midfield battle; got very little time or space.

11Méndez-Laing 7.0 Quiet by his own high standards but teed up JJ for the winner.

5Bradley Late fresh legs.

9Collins 7.0 Huge endeavour at the coal face & unlucky not to bag a scruffy goal.

19John-Jules 7.0 77 minutes first touch BANG! Pre-destined & Deserved for overcoming relentless injury frustration. Could JJ launch his season from here-on.

Derby deserved the 3 points built on a rigid and immovable defence, relentless defiance and sufficient attacking opportunities. 4 wins on the spin but only 1 where the game was controlled {Barnsley}  mean it’s always on a thread. Fans in fine fettle made their presence heard with consistent support.

1Wildsmith - 6.5 not much to do, struggled with a few crosses

24Nyambe - 7 solid as always

7Barkhuizen - 6.5 didn’t do much, but was vital for the goal as he blocked the clearance which in turn gave the ball to NML

35Nelson - 8 what a player

6Cashin - 8.5 was unbelievable last night dealt with everything.

3Forsyth - 7 steady on both sides of the ball

4Hourihane - 7 looked better than he has recently

17Sibley - 6 nothing to report

2Wilson - 8 was excellent all night

22Fornah - 7 few nice touches and was everywhere

8Bird - 6.5 one of his quieter games

11Méndez-Laing - 7.5 below his very high standards as of late. But turned up when needed with a perfect pass for the winner.

5Bradley - 6 nothing to report

9Collins - 6.5 was alright, did half decent with his two half chances

19John-Jules - 7 took his goal very well and got stuck in when we were under pressure.

Rams TV

1 Wildsmith 6 - bit flappy on a couple of crosses

24 Nyambe 6.5 - OK defensively

35 Nelson 7.5 - defensively excellent, a few hit and hope passes

6 Cashin 8 - great game

3 Forsyth 7.5 - extra half for the super quick reaction clearance from cash's off-the-face own goal 'attempt' at the end

4 Hourihane 6 - decent game. Don't get the hate.

2 Wilson 8 - really good performance. Don't fancy him as a full back but he does some excellent auxiliary defending as a winger. Hands up...I wrote him off early season but he's coming good.

22 Fornah 7 - seems to play brilliantly in patches and have a few dodgy spells so this 7 is more of a 10-4-9-5-10-4 sort of thing. Great athlete though and gets back to cover his mistakes.

8 Bird 6 - decent enough

11 Méndez-Laing 7 - not his best overall game but ......what a pass

9 Collins 7 - works very hard. Shots on target. Never stops making runs

19 John-Jules 7 - looks like he's got a decent first touch

7 Barkhuizen 6 - goal came from his press. Not a lot else to say

17 Sibley 6 -

5 Bradley 6 -

1Wildsmith  6

24Nyambe 6.5 Battled hard.

7Barkhuizen 6

35Nelson 7.5 Another solid display.

6Cashin 8.5 His defensive instincts are incredible. Yet again, handles a bigger, more experienced opponent with tenacity, class and brilliant anticipation. Drove forward to good effect too.  Amazing how we've grown used to this consistent level of performance from one so young.

3Forsyth 6.5 Good to have him back.

4Hourihane 6 Some decent stuff, loses half a mark for some dodgy dead balls.

17Sibley 6

2Wilson 7 Ball sticks to him and he is so positive driving forward and dribbling. Several good crosses. Needs to work on shooting.

22Fornah 6.5 All action box to box stuff. Had a good shot. Couple of sloppy passes nearly put us in bother.

8Bird 6.5 Not as influential as he can be.

11Méndez-Laing 7.5 Huge effort, real menace, nearly had a goal and that is a special touch and pass to set up the goal.

5Bradley 6

9Collins 6.5 Decent touch and sharpness. Worked hard but his lack of pace is such a limitation.

19John-Jules  7.5. Brings the Disney moment. Classy first time finish. Most fans are hoping that he stays fit and gives us the new dimension to our attack that we need so badly to become a promotion worthy team. This moment may bond him to us. Pure joy to see him score.  Such gratitude and warmth in his post match. Please let his career take off with us.

At The Game:

1Wildsmith - 6 - Nothing much to do

24Nyambe - 6.5 - Not his best game, but did enough defensively

7Barkhuizen - 6.5 - Scrappy tackle to win the ball back for a pre-assist

35Nelson - 7.5 - Under the radar, solid

6Cashin - 8 - Dealt with Uche impeccably, made him look like Bambi on Ice

3Forsyth - 6.5 - Did enough defensively

4Hourihane - 6 - Beat your first man, please

17Sibley - 6 - Only had 2 minutes

2Wilson - 8 - Such a talent, shame about his injury record, just hope he can stay fit - totally positive footballing mindset

22Fornah - 7 - Covered the entirety of the pitch, few dodgy moment (release the ball quicker) but persevered

8Bird - 7 - Somewhat quiet game but some silky stuff down the left side between him and NML

11Méndez-Laing - 7 - Not his best game (giving up on the pass by Cashin that Cashin himself had to chase down to keep in), but he is something special, vital to the promotion charge

5Bradley - 6 - Solid when on the pitch, does the job

9Collins - 7.5 - No service when he was on the pitch, but kept chasing down dead ducks, sharp mind when off the ball

19John-Jules - 7 - 1st touch of class for the goal
