I'm assuming this is in reference to the EFLs business plan rather than internally?

The structure of this deal suggests two things:

1) We wont see any signings of other players for fees so forget many of the links we’ve seen with younger promising players.

2) The Knight sale all disappeared to Poznan - we mostly knew this but it’s confirmed by this.

3) We’re still under a restriction of some type even though we all thought we were not.

…… unless we only have a small capital pot now and want to be able to use that to buy another player…

Nothing is easy or straightforward with DCFC 🤷😎

Sibley has had plenty of chances in what you consider his true position. Saturday for a start. He's consistent in his performances

He did all right on Saturday, and he could affect the game in his Number 10 position if we used the midfield for more than just a vehicle to transport the ball out to the wing at the first opportunity. We slag Max Bird off for the same reason on this forum.

Bamfords

, are they actually allowed to lose that much? Not that it matters to them.

This makes it even funnier that we stopped their long unbeaten run and derailed their playoff push.

What makes it funnier is his of lack mathematical ability with all them fingers.  He should look at the league table.

Nice positive bit of business confirming Blackett-Taylor today, adding to the extended loan of John-Jules and the contract extensions for Nyambe, Mendez-Laing and Cashin (though that’s more a technicality).
Even with just this one signing it’s looking a much better January than last year, hope those who felt concerned and were naysaying a bit last week feel better about things after today.

Glad he's here as an option.  Not so glad about this 300 k loan bollox, then signing on a free.  Beyond weird.

Why?  I think it’s explained pretty clearly and makes sense.  Think of it as we’ve effectively paid £300k for a 26 year old on a 3 1/2 year contract.  Good business.

What if he changes his mind when his contract runs out with Charlton? Plenty of players have 'signed' then not signed for Derby! 😄

Good signing, good positive bit of business by the club.

To sign one of the best wingers in the division is a state of intent.

Good to see.
