1Wildsmith 7 two key saves to prevent the equaliser

35Nelson 6 a poor defensive  header that almost let Fleetwood in.

5Bradley 6 A late show to see the game out

34Rooney 7.5 Several moments of class - where has he been?

14Washington 6 Workmanlike and assisted the goal

6Cashin 7 One key switch off but a good performance otherwise

12Smith 6 Some stray passes

23Waghorn 7.5 MotM Took the goal well & involved in all the threat that Derby created

4Hourihane 7 Busy and flow of passes

3Forsyth 6.5 Strong defence and attacking outlet

11Méndez-Laing 7 Speed and power down the right; the odd misplaced attacking pass

20Elder 6 Hides his light well under a bushel

9Collins 6 Late show

16Thompson 6.5 Energy and movement around the pitch

17Sibley 6 Will need a run of games to get going again

An improved performance with a more sensible shape; Derby’s cause not helped by a poor ref who missed a blatant penalty on Waghorn. Fleetwood could’ve scored but for the woodwork twice. Signings needed and Cashin’s last home game probably.

1Wildsmith: 7.5 - a quality, vital save, and looked a safe pair of gloves. Best performance so far.

35Nelson: 7.5 - the guy can defend and, put into the middle, he showed it. Nearly MotM.

5Bradley: 6 - not much time to do anything good/bad, although FTFC did get a sniff almost straight after he came on caused by some indecision in the back line

34Rooney: 7 - good performance. Has much to add in terms of quality on the ball, including when playing a part in attacks - much more suited to it than Nelson so hope to see more of Rooney at RCB (if we're persisting with 3 CBs)

14Washington: 7 - worked hard, covered the ground, and got an assist for the goal (still not quite sure if he intended it).

6Cashin: 7.5 - read the game so well and utterly determined throughout. Possibly his best performance so far this season.

12Smith: 6 - even a 6 might be a little generous. Dedicated and willing, but full of simple errors. He can certainly see a pass, but his opponent saw it too before he played it!

23Waghorn: 7.5 - good finish (extra 0.5 for the goal) and really showed his experience. Seemed to be organising others too. Already showing how important he could be for us this season.

4Hourihane: 7 - much improved from Tuesday night. Not everything came off but a solid show and a couple of menacing deliveries too.

3Forsyth: 7 - reliable and determined. Mr Consistent.

11Méndez-Laing: 7 - brilliant to see him back on the right, where he knows how to play, and he was a real threat, particularly in the first half. End product needs to be better but did put in one fantastic cross which was too good for everyone.

20Elder: 6 - not getting much time to see what he can do... a legacy of when we let him have too much time to show what he could do! But solid enough while he was on.

9Collins: 6.5 - when he came on, a more intelligent performance than we saw on Tuesday night. Never any doubt about his effort but looks like he might have gone back down the pecking order with W+W showing positive signs together.

16Thompson: 7.5 - MotM by a whisker from Nelson. Combined energy with bravery and skill - I was surprised how well he played but others will say he's shown already he deserved his chance. Must surely keep his place now. Only negative: the only one of our yellow cards that was completely unnecessary.

17Sibley: 6.5 - a bit of class and composure on the ball helped us to ride out the last few uncomfortable minutes against the mighty Cods. Good to see him back.

He’s grabbed shirts quite a few times now. Such an obvious yellow and a difficult habit to break.
Should work on his timing so he doesn’t find himself behind players.

Glad he played well though. We needed more in midfield.

Really? I actually thought he was decent (by League One standards). Worth at least a 4. 😉

1Wildsmith - 7 made a couple of crucial saves towards the end

35Nelson - 6.5 good solid defender

5Bradley - 6 not on long enough to judge, helped with his height near the end, the lack of pace and manoeuvrability is a big problem especially playing at the side of Cashin

34Rooney - 7 lacks pace for a fullback, deserves to keep the shirt tho, very comfortable on the ball, would like to see him start in place of Smith at CDM

14Washington - 6 jury out a little bit, works hard and maybe a little more time playing up top with Waghorn will help

6Cashin - 6.5 a lot better he’s much more suited to a back four formation

12Smith - 4 not for me he’s way too slow and doesn’t contribute much, can’t play him and hourihane together, can’t understand why Warne won’t try Rooney at CDM?

23Waghorn - 7.5 our best and most dangerous striker at the moment

4Hourihane - 4 he winds me up so much, with his talent he should be controlling the game but instead goes missing

3Forsyth - 7.5 mr dependable, undroppable at the moment he’s the backbone of the team

11Méndez-Laing - 7 real threat with his pace down the wing, he’s not a number 10, please leave him on the wing.

20Elder - 6 not on long little effect on the game

9Collins - 6 worked hard when he came on, no goal threat tho.

16Thompson - 7.5 little terrier worked his socks off, it’s nice to see a bit of energy in the midfield

17Sibley - 6 same comment as Collins
