This my worry. Why would we wait ages if its been signed to announce the deal?

MarsdenRam
Why would you tip off the opposition any earlier than you really had to? Keem 'em guessing our likely squad. therealhantsram

BigTravIsGod
Triple signing of Waghorn, Rhodes and Smith announced, on the team sheet, at 2pm tomorrow having been completed today. Not ITK!
Topram
For PW saying if a deal was to be done he’d expect it to be in the next 6/7 hours (yesterday) it’s been very quiet

Blackpool offered more money and didn’t train today. This has come from a youth player at the club. Srg
MackworthRamIsGod
It would be a right kick in the teeth if we wasted time with Waghorn, giving him minutes in friendly games for him then to sign for a rival team. It would certainly bring into question Paul Warnes 'pull' if a player who has previously played for Derby, lives near Derby and has been training with Derby for 3 weeks goes and signs for a club 2 hours up the road 😆 Adslegend

Disappointing - yes but Warne said in an interview a few days ago that Waggy was welcome to train but if he was offered something elsewhere then he would go with Warne's good wishes. Maybe Blackpool have offered a two year deal ?

Isn’t he entitled to take that into consideration? I don’t know whether they are or not but could see why Waghorn might consider that option. We’ll know soon enough either way.
