Hi Tamworthram,

There is free street parking along Prestbury Road and some spaces down Pitteville Circus Road if you arrive by midday, after that it does get more difficult or you could park at the racecourse for free and walk to the ground, about 20 mins or do park and ride from there into town for a pint - Sandford Park Alehouse is my 'go to' pub. Then its a 20 minute walk to the ground from the pub.

Funny.  Sandford Alehouse is my final stop on route to the ground!

Ahh good man.  There will be a few scattered about - just have to hope the midday beers don't make it too obvious!

I know exactly what you mean. Can't wait for this one. I hope the away end are in good voice, Whaddon Road is like a library.

I lived down Cleeve View Road around 8 years ago, the ground is a short 5 min walk from there and the on street parking at the time was free/no permit. The road did used to fill up with local match go-ers on a match day.
I was going to go to this one and meet a few of my mates who are still in Cheltenham, likely joining the other “home end rams” but the usual post Christmas financial pinch has got me.

Those who are going, Cheltenham is a great little town with plenty of options for food and drink. Sandford Ale House has already been mentioned and a few yards along from there you’ve got The Swan and The Vine (great Thai food) that used to be my regular haunts. Anyone wanting a quaint beer on the way to the ground, the Kemble Brewery down Fairview Street is a great little boozer, essentially a converted terraced house….small but mighty. These are all recommendations based on my time living in Cheltenham so not sure how welcoming they are of away fans, they’re all decent drinking pubs away from your more main stream Wetherspoons etc.

I hope those that are going have fun and we pick up another win!

The Kemble is a good little pub, it does crowded but away fans are welcome.

@Kokosnuss and I will be in the Kemble and Sandford Park, plus the Strand which is near the Sandford and is very good.

We have been to watch Cheltenham before and parked at the racecourse. It's a steady stroll to the ground. I like Cheltenham.

I lived down the same street as the Kemble for a couple of years, had one of the most surreal and entertaining nights in there resulting in a lock in with a bunch of Morris Men ?

I can only ever think of Grimsby and Hull with a good selection

On this occasion there kind of is! Simpsons fish and chips is on Priors Road which is a 10-15 minute walk along Whaddon Road, it was the best chippy in Cheltenham when I lived there.

There also used to be a more rough and ready chippy closer to the ground on Whaddon Road but no idea if it’s still there

Yes it still is the best chippy in Cheltenham and you can park on the road nearby and walk to the ground. We have also parked in sainsburys next door for a match. chippy has a sit down restaurant as well if you want to splash out.

And our group of four will be sitting on our hands in the main stand.

So you can’t celebrate a goal?

Might as well stayed at home youth?

(mind you, I was in the home end at Crystal Palace v the Rams the other year.  I did say “oh dear” when Chrissy scored.  That was enough I think)

? Have done lots of games in the home end, only lost it twice- when Curtis equalised at Reading last season and when Sturridge scored the third at Old trafford to seal the points in the wanchope game. Always been pleased with myself that when Paulo scored that wonder goal i just said to the Man u fan next me me that it was quite a good goal. I promise that if we score a 90th minute winner on Saturday there will be at least one of us bouncing in the main stand.
