Let’s be honest, Clowes can’t admit it due to being the owner, but if someone asked him in private without any chance of it getting out. Im certain he’s angry that we haven’t made top 6.

league 1 specialist bought in when we were 7th. Finished 7th. That’s p1ss poor.

If you're re happy to call a spade a spade.

Warnes a League 1 specialist.

You're a WUM specialist.

Barnsley we were lucky to win, Shrewsbury and Fleetwood we were toothless, and Lincoln we were atrocious. I was patient with Rosenior because he was bedding in the squad, but we only looked pretty decent in maybe two games over 90 minutes.

Barnsley was a 50-50 game. We had numerous chances to beat Shrews, Fleetwood and Charlton and missed them. I’m not sure missing chances can be of the manager’s fault.

In contrast, we barely created anything in the 2-0 home defeat to Fleetwood.

We had harder games under Rosenior yet looked a better side than the one under Warne.

Now I’m not advocating Warne out.

But he needs to make changes this summer. He either needs to adapt to our players’ strengths, or bring in players who suit his style of play.

The current blend isn’t right.

No, 7th.

Fair enough. I stand corrected although we were 11th by the time we played our first game under him but only because other teams played on the 24th September and we didn’t.

Obviously we don’t know if we would have done better, worse or just stayed 7th if PW hadn’t taken over.

You do realise we've been narrowly beaten once by Sheff Weds this season who have had an extra year in Lg1 (without financial restrictions) and we still might play them again next season?

Its been a tough league to get out of this year and whilst it may not have ended how we hoped, I remain confident that with a proper recruitment team in place this summer and a proven manager getting the players in he wants next season will be much better.

I do know this and if you’ve read my previous posts you’ll see that I said that today wasn’t what cost us. It was February and March being relegation form. Not good enough that this group of players had 2 months out of 9 where they couldn’t buy a win im afraid.

A couple of the Sky commo team before the game were suggesting that with our squad we should be finishing top 6. The scots bloke (name forgotten) even suggested that Warne might be worried about his job...

Can’t get rid realistically because he’s on a 4 year deal but he has had a poor 37 games overall.

What about the post is incorrect?

Today hasn’t cost us. 2 months of the season where we were struggling to buy a win despite injuries being kind to us cost us.

For what it’s worth I think he’ll be manager next season and I’ll be right behind him and the team but it’s head in clouds stuff to suggest he’s had a good season.

And if I’d met him what would I know?

That he’d be content with the 37 games under Warne or that he’d openly criticise our gaffer?

I guess the point is without knowing him it’s sensible not to make statements as to how he thinks or feels about Warne and the season.

I’ll accept that but he’s a successful bloke who brought in someone who he felt was better equipped than who we had previously and it’s had no impact.

This club needs a manager at the helm for at least 3 years! Look at the Nigel Clough years. He built a club over time, and eventually, it was that team that took us to Wembley. We need to give Warne time. I’m sick of the Mel years of hire and fire! We need stability and Clowes and Warne are the men to take us forward!

Can’t wait for Season tickets to come on sale!

Up the mighty Rams! 🐏

Rome wasn't built in a day fella, Clowes came in and gave us structure/foundations, He didn't fancy LR that's why he went for PW, I've never met DC...but a good guess will be...he's seen enough from PW and will give him/staff his full support, He's a qualified pilot that's not taken to panic in a bumpy ride, He knows 1 swallow doesn't make a Summer...PW will know next season will define where himself...DC and the fans see DCFC.

There'll be a full on drive for players in the next couple of months...don't blink as there'll be quite a few incomings 👍

He’s also quoted as saying he knows it will take time for the club to recover and get back to where it belongs (paraphrased slightly). My guess is he’ll be disappointed as a fan and a businessman and then get on with the pragmatic planning for the future.

Of course he'll be manager next season he's on a 4 year contract.

That's like saying for what it's worth I think night will follow day.

There's a complete difference between saying he's had a good season to saying it's disastrous that he steered this team to a 7th placed finish.

You might find that he is as disappointed as the rest of us but probably not angry. I doubt he’s “content” but of course he’s not going to openly criticise PW.

I trust Clowes. I just think we should be allowed to criticise Warne based on Feb and March. The squad we have, despite not being perfect - or too 2, shouldn’t have had a run like that spell.

I think not improving our league position despite the league position of opponents being on average lower than under Rosenior is poor. I wouldn’t demand promotion. Wouldn’t demand unbeaten runs. I just think 7th to 7th isn’t good enough when he had 3/4 of a season.
