They could spend the next 15 years in the PL, likely win nothing, and then what?

Are you alluding that unless you’re in the top 6, why bother? 

I know you had the positivity drilled out of you, but what a bleak view.

If finishing above 18th is success every season then I guess you could have a different outlook.

I just think if you had 15 seasons of PL football, but no trophies, the only person who comes out of that with any real gain is the owner who has generated a tidy sum while growing an asset.

For the fans, what do they have? A few memories of a 1-0 win at Anfield or Stamford Bridge? Just seems like a small prize to me for 15 years and in some cases £10k+ investment.

But then I'm sure Villa, Brighton, or Wolves (when they weren't sh*T) said the same thing. 

Hell, West Ham won a European trophy last year. 

I'm sure all those trips abroad in Europe made a lot to those fans..

Some of our trips into Europe were banned cos the scouses couldn’t behave 🙄
