1of4
Voted turkey but I always serve two meats at Christmas. So will also be serving pork with plenty of crackling. Bread sauce with the turkey and a calvados sauce with the pork. Never liked turkey gravy so will be using the pork juices for the gravy this Christmas. JoetheRam
Turkey. If it's dry and you don't like the taste you are cooking it wrong. Plus Turkey gravy is great. Steve How Hard? and DarkFruitsRam7
Gone
Got to be Turkey, I can’t imagine Christmas dinner with anything else. Now the real question is, do you have Yorkshire puddings with it or not????? Edited December 3, 2021 by TexasRam
Angry Ram
Turkey, turkey, turkey, And the sucker won’t be dry. Cold turkey in the evening, rest made into a stew. Plenty of sides to go with it. Decent stuffing a must and well done roasties, masses of veg. Cant wait.. Steve How Hard? and DarkFruitsRam7

The food police need to man up and start imprisoning people for some things I have read on this board.

Olton Ram
Haven't had turkey for years. We usually go for one of those multi-birds roast. We're planning duck, pheasant, partridge and pigeon this year. (And yes, I have enough self-awareness to know how deeply middle-class that sounds. Chin, chin) JoetheRam

I've been to some restaurants where they might have "filled Yorkshire" as a dish in it's own right. I'd never order it but somehow think that's more acceptable to me than cutting up bits of your carrots or potatoes and putting them inside the pudding ad hoc at the dinner table. dabber
When I was at Uni in Hull there were some restaurants that served Yorkshire Puddings as a separate course!!
