Marshall - 5. Would have been a solid 7 without the gift of a first goal. However, when he’s been asked to play like that and we persist on playing it around at the back when being pressed high  and one of the back 3 is Davies it isn’t a surprise that the forwards expect it to go to Bilic instead and cut it out. 

Byrne - 7. One of our better players. Still gets caught out defensively but then not a surprise when he’s being asked to be one of most attacking players because the other forward players are poo. 

Buchanan - 7. See almost identical to Byrne. 

Bielik - 6. First 90 mins and he did OK. Average but does give us some more advanced options going forward because most of the time he can pass.

Davies - 6. Average. Will never be the person you want making a forward pass, so the opposition let him have it and take it back most of the time. 

Clarke- 6. Average today. Thought he struggled a bit. 

Shinnie - 5. A bit of a disruption in the middle, but his passing and negative mentality was poor today. 

Knight - 7. Can we have 11 of him please.  

Waghorn- 3. Poor, poor positioning, movement, control. He’s not a forward trying to hold it up. 

Rooney - 3. Would have been a  2 but he actually passed it to a white shirt in the second half. 

Lawrence- 2. There are games, this one and last game when you can watch Tom for the first 10 mins and know if he is going to have a good match, or one of those frustrating ones where he is an absolute waste of space and is a hinderance. This is one of those times. 

Jozwiak- 7. Love this lad. He might have less of an end product than we’d like at the moment but he gives his all and his first thought was to go forward and actually attack.  
 

We are a group of individuals not a team and until that happens we will remain where we are.

Marshall - 4 - Shocking error. Some punches (which I'm okay with, but imagine the stick Roos would have got!)

Byrne - 5 - Put in some decentish crosses but caught out a lot defensively and Bielik had to cover for him numerous times.

Buchanan - 6 - Aerial duel galore again, better crosses but no one on the end of them.

Bielik - 7.5 - Best player for us today, his quality is outstanding. Need him in DM though, wasted at RCB. Some of his switches were brilliant.

Davies - 5 - Below average, some awful passing and control. 

Clarke - 6 - Strange sub to take him off, was doing alright.

Shinnie - 4 - His first touch is shocking. 

Knight - 7 - A lot of duels won and picking up loose balls, didn't stop running.

Waghorn - 4 - What did he do? Got no brain too, shocking pass when keeper came out into no mans land and another poor shot when keeper came out a different time.

Rooney - 4 - Better when deeper, but lack of effort from him today strolling around. 

Lawrence - 4 - Meh.

Marshall 5 - Bad error that ultimately killed hope for the game. His first real mistake and was other wise ok.

Byrne 6 - Decent energy. Not great decision making or delivery at times.

Bielik 7 - passable first half but thought stepped up a gear second half and was one of few that looked like making something happen

Davies 5 - Really not the game for someone so slow and clumsy in possession but was mostly passable. Should have been subbed over Clarke.

Clarke 6 - Did alright 

Buchanan 6 - See Byrne but a bit better 

Shinnie 4 - I'm sick of playing a midfielder who doesn't want the ball or move to creating passing angles. Improved when Rooney dropped back though.

Knight 6 - Quiet game for the most part  but did alright 

Lawrence 5 - Looked tired and jaded for long stretches ideally would have been subbed earlier 

Waghorn 5 - See above 

Rooney 6 - Anonymous upfront. Much better in midfield.

Jozwiak 7 - Looked bright and like he might make something happen. Criminal not starting him.

Sibley 6 - Difficult to come on to. Did ok but didn't impact greatly

Just saying, but I assume the reason @sage want's the names in the same order as those in the opening post is to make it easier to tally at the end

Marshall  - 5 - mistake for the goal, made a good save, couldn't do much about the second 

Byrne - 6 - full of energy 

Buchanan - 7 - best player for us in my opinion, didnt do anything wrong

Bielik - 6 - thought he looked alright when in possession played some good passes second half. Lost the ball a couple of times but what do you expect when the midfield doesn't move to give any options for a pass

Davies  - 5 - average neither poor or good 

Clarke - 5 - as above 

Shinnie - 3 - very poor today

Knight  - 5 - tried hard

Waghorn  - 2 - was he on the pitch? 

Rooney  - 2 - slows everything down & starts playing backwards.

Lawrence - 2 - lost the ball at pretty much every occasion offered nothing 

Jozwiak - 7 - The only one that looked to get the ball, turn and run at defenders to make something happen rather than playing the way he was facing & passing back. Our style holds him back & if i was him id regret coming here & want out in jan

Colin - 5 - not enough time to do much & should have gave him a run out earlier. He tried to put himself about a bit.. Shame couldn't have an impact

Sibley - 5 - offered nothing when came on but i blame the system

Agreed. How can a professional deserve such scores. Seems like some sort of a malaise. When Davis gave way to Jewell we hoped for change but it never happened. Let us hope that this scenario can be turned around. Something seriously wrong somewhere. Who knows what though.
