City vs Bayern is just so far ahead in terms of levels it’s unbelievable.

You can see why those at the top want to create a Super League.

It’s only 1-0, and there hasn’t been a great deal of goal mouth action. But the ball control, the speed, the first touch, the passing range, the awareness, the athleticism and the agility on show is incredible.

I’d absolutely love to watch Derby have a season like Burnley are now. At times the McClaren 2013/14 was like that. But Man City beat Burnley 6-0 the other week.

That Derby 2013/14 was a joy to watch. But even that level is miles behind this City/Bayern level.

Upamecano looked like Claude Davis on a bad day to me.

Would’ve been j retesting to see a city vs United European supercup. Sort of like wrestling tag team champions break up, becoming bitter rivals, then one wins the heavy weight championship, and the other wins the intercontinental title, and they have a winner takes all headliner at wrestle mania.

screw it, football should be scripted, there, I said it.

This game is bonkers 😆

Mental from Saints, does neither much good but those last 2 goals could knock the stuffing out of Southampton!

If they had won it would’ve been a real momentum and confidence builder; they’re going to be heartbroken now.

Very different journey home than might have been for the Saints supporters, but they did at least show something tonight.

Not much use to either, as you point out, but it was pretty entertaining for the neutrals.

That's Southampton gone .  They've actually got some results against the top end in league and cup but can't back those up with the ones they should be competitive in.  They won't come back from that ending, it's a spirit crusher.

They’re 3 points from safety with 6 games to play, having just drawn away to the side at the top of the league.

They've been here before though.  They were 3 points from safety when they drew with them earlier in the season with more games.  Can't see it after that kick in the bohollocks.
