Picked up so far from Northampton commentators:

Derby's lead is well deserved; been very good on the ball and Rooney's running the show.

They're "disappointed" Derby have shown up; which is an attitude I can respect.

Home game, it's common that we show up ?

I can see that perhaps match commentary run by the club could be limited in their ability to criticise and speak the truth if we truly have been poo. But I really don't think I mind because they do occasionally point out our errors and flaws on Rams TV, and nonetheless I can watch a game and make my own mind up.

If I'm listening, just tell me what's happening. No drama, no screaming and crying and moaning, just tell me what's happening

I can't even count the amount of times I have sat listening to RD where I don't know what has actually happened for a good minute or two

"And Derby will....OOH OH OH...AH THAT'S DISGRACEFUL....HE'S JUST...WHAT IS HE DOING....THAT'S OURAGEOUS CRAIG!..................Derby ARE JUST....WOW!....ABSOLUTELY OUT OF ORDER.....ROOS HAS JUST......AND THEN THE DEFENDERS.....WHAT DO YOU THINK CRAIG?"

...And that turns out to be a throw in...

10 minutes of this game has been spent fuming at us playing at from the back [but keeping possession]

Perhaps we could start a petition to have Ed Dawes fired into the sun

No way could I be described as a fan of Dawes but when Eric Steele stands in for the Muppet then he becomes almost acceptable.

Eric Steele alongside a proper commentator would be the best local radio team in the country; to be honest.

Sorry, I don't understand? If Northampton are pressing us so high up the pitch, why would we not draw them in for a counter attack sucker punch?

If you can telegraph what the opposition are going to do, why would you give the ball up by going long?

You don't have to go "llllooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg". But to play it to a defender near the edge of the box when there are loads of Northampton players around is foolish. Simply play it beyond them to maybe two thirds of our half. At Northampton Roos would play it to a defeneder, who would then play it to another defender, and another, until there was no way out because our defenders aren't ball players. Then they would play the ball back to Roos who then kicked it long, meaning we have just wasted two or three minutes, put ourselves at risk of losing the ball, and by now all our outfield players are marked up. So why not play it out long straight away? Especially as doing so will stop Northampton pressing as high, and not being sure how we are going to play the ball.

And if Northampton have players around our area when Roos has the ball, they are already being drawn out in order for them to be near our area.
