When Johnson was against the removal of Section 28 and wrote articles against gay people joining the military, that was well back in the day. This is coming from a guy that served in the armed forces and considers wearing the Union Jack on my uniform for the first time one of the proudest moments of my life. I want to love Great Britain, I really do. But things like Brexit and a massively overblown sense of our own importance is making it really difficult for me to do so like I once did. You are right about the Last Night of the Proms. But the Proms as a whole was introduced to make classical music available to the masses and an affordable price. I think the BBC should be rethinking why the Last Night is seemingly a "reserved event" that gets prime time live coverage. Its given up other such crown jewels.
