Ramarena
According to Google it's this word salad: COCU WANTED SKRTEL After Franck Lampard's departure to Chelsea, British executives shaking hands with the Dutch coach decided to start with Cocu when they set out to go to the Premier League. Returning Fikayo Tomori'nin Martin Skrtel'i said instead of thinking. Fenerbahce contract ended and is currently in talks with some clubs Skrtel, his former coach Cocu'yla work extremely hot looking, Slovak stopper reportedly will sit at the table with Derby in the coming days. Nuwtfly
34. Probably big wages. Not sure he fits the model.

A few old heads and a lot of young players. Skrtel fine for Leeds games.
JfR
No idea how much truth is in this, but I looked up Martin Skrtel and he has hair now, which would suggest that during his years at Liverpool it was of his own volition that he chose to look like a raging psychotic slaphead and not due to follicle deficiency
RamLad1884
Please god no, never thought we could get a bigger psycho than Keogh. Guess we could scare teams into submission?
Ambitious
He definitely doesn't fit the model, but I'm sure he could still do a very good job. He's a force in the air, careful with the ball and has never given a striker an easy day in the office. I'm not sure where this would leave Davies either, because he'll be our token big lump at the back despite the Skrtel being better.
Kyle guest
Only thing that would be questionable about this is we already have two 32+ year old centre halves in keogh and Davies unless one/both would be leaving
EraniosSocks
Just a big fat no from me. Hopefully it is really lazy journalism.
inter politics
In a vacuum, not against this. Good in the air, played at the top etc. But we have two aging centre halfs already. Maybe he prefers experience at the back but we would be lacking pace (but anyone other than Tomori is a step down in that area!).
hintonsboots
Would be a great signing. Premiership experience, still probably too good for the Championship. Did anyone say no to Ashley?
Wolfie20
5 years ago then yes but then 5 years ago we wouldn't have been able to afford him.
RamNut
No. @angieram would be well fed up.
DcFc Dyycheee
Well, he would certainly help out heading crosses away. Wouldn't be against this if it's a 1yr deal. Positive this is just a lazy link though.
MackworthRamIsGod
Cocu ain't no clown, if he says yes, it's a yes from me.
Mostyn6
Would be a great signing if he’s retained his mobility, which at his he age, he should have.
SaintRam
Not sure this is the way I'd go but if Cocu is thinking this I do see some sense in it. Our CB position is very light. Our CB position is also very light when it comes to obvious quality in our youth system. One of our CBs was just out injured for a whole year. Yes Skrtl is old, but CB as a position often benefits hugely from experience. I could totally see this move, especially if its alongside bringing in someone like Tomori as well.
