duncanjwitham
Good news. There's potentially 2 international breaks and very few midweek games in that period as well, so he shouldn't miss too many matches.
Roboram
When 4-6 weeks is quoted it often ends up being 8-10 but it’s still a lot better than I feared.

Fair point but a lot of that will be recovery time and getting back to match fitness. a good outcome if it stays to those timescales
Millenniumram
Good news that, I really feared the worst with how he looked on the day. He’ll miss a block of games but that’s it, looked a decent player so it’s good to have him available for most the season still.
ram59
4 to 6 weeks, is that Derby speak for should be back for pre season? ?
dcfcfan1
Excellent news, could easily easily be so so much worse. Huddlestone is back and ledley would have a confidence boost with his goal, so evans can take his time and be ready for mid october- no pressure
jimbo jones
Fingers crossed he has an issue free recovery and gets back asap, looked decent on Tuesday.

You're too used to it being Thorne that's getting injured. When 4-6 weeks means 4-6 years!

Ambitious
It doesn't matter - he'll never be the same player again ? We know how serious these knee injuries are.
PistoldPete2
Maybe not as bad as feared. Hopefully hud will be back much sooner.

Van der MoodHoover
Pfft. 4-6 weeks is barely enough time for the forum to realise that he was and is in fact the answer to all our dm issues. Need at least 10 weeks to have reinvented him as a cross between busquets, makalele and that other Spanish bloke. We'll be lucky if he reaches a cross between Danny drinkwater and Michael Carrick in 4-6 weeks ?

ck-
My initial thoughts were ACL (Having right PCL snapped once and ACL twice, I'm kind of familiar with it ?) But on reflection, and admittedly not having watched replay, it seemed like a stretch rather than a twist. So that might suggest a strain, or a partial tear, rather than a full severing. Fingers crossed!
RamNut
Evans could be the next michael carrick.

Fingers crossed! ruptured an ACL twice and done a grade 3 tear of medial ligaments (not so serious) and they actually felt pretty similar in the first few minutes after they happened (knee just goes into shock/locks and it hurts somewhat) So perhaps on this occasion George feared the worst but has got lucky. Hope the lad makes a speedy recovery!
Jack Willow
It's a pity, he got injured so soon, and also as it happened during his first official home game. Hopefully, he'll return soon to be a integral part of the squad for the rest of the season.
