Are we saying it's going to be a double signing announcement and that's why mounts has not been officially announced by dcfc already

Can't imagine they would have photographed them separately if that was the case would they?

Likely they'll both be announced within a short time of each other. If Wilson "had talks" over the weekend and is now "done" it would suggest he's at Moor Farm too.

Brilliant signing. And what a job Lampard did, there are not a lot players who would have chosen the Rams over Ajax.

Turned down a 2-year loan to Werder Bremen, apparently.

I did the Ajax stadium tour earlier this summer and it was superb. Great club with special history, so the fact we are even competing with clubs such as Ajax says a lot about our new coaching set up

He's only 19,it likely appeals to him more to stay relatively local to his club and family. Make a name for himself this year and the papers will be calling for him to be picked for England by the time the next euros come around.

Risks falling under the radar playing in abroad, I dare say many football fans would struggle to name many (if any) of Ajax's top players for instance.

Arguably it's not a case of Ajax or Werder Bremen or whoever vs Derby, it's a case of those clubs vs Frank Lampard. That's not to say that we don't have desirable aspects that would appeal to a player like Mount, but the one and only reason he would have chosen us over a team like those mentioned, is Frank Lampard and his team.

This sums up the reason why there was so much excitement and positivity around Lampard's appointment, and despite his non-existent managerial record, it was probably the most united this forum has been over an appointment in the forum's lifetime.

We're a much, much more attractive proposition to players than we were a few months ago, particularly to talented, younger players who will have grown up watching and dreaming of playing at the levels FL has played at.

It's very early days, and we can't use one friendly against a L2 side to judge how FL will have us playing, but in terms of the pull-factor for signings, he's going to be getting off to a very decent start.

Just discussing mason on talk sport with Dutch sports correspondent.

32 games 14 goals 9 assists as we know but Mason Mount best player they have ever had...

He actually didn't get many minutes at the start of the season but his progression as the season went on was almost meteoric. The exciting part is that he just kept improving and finished the season on a high, hopefully he picks up where he left off.
