norram89
Can someone do a poll on this: Who would you want to wear the number 7 shirt next season? Weimann, Ince, Butterfield, Johnson? Handing it to one of the academy graduates (Hughes, Hanson) like we did with the number 8 shirt? Thorne wearing 34 because 3+4=7? New signing?? Animal is a Ram
Numbers seem to mean diddly squat these days. Having said that, there is something satisfying about seeing 1-11 on the pitch. Last season that would have been: Martin Bent Dawkins Bryson Hendrick Russell Forsyth Buxton Keogh Christie Grant

EnigmaRam
Ince always wears 23 doesn't he? Maybe he thinks 2+3=

Rample
If we sign a right winger let's be old fashioned and give him #7. Failing that Hendrick for me. Could be amusing to have Christie as #7 for where he spends most of his time.
Rambalin
Does not matter a jot just as long as who wears it deserves to be in the team numbers matter not at all players do.

cosmic
Does the number 7 hold any historical significance to us? Or are we just starved of anything Derby-related to talk about?
Posh Ram
The worst thing would be to give it to Hughes imo, he's always worn 19 and lots of people have shirts with his name and number on the back. Either give it to a January signing who has been assigned a high squad number or a new signing (Kodjia, Wells or Gudmunsson maybe?).
CornwallRam
I think we should give it to Anthony Knockaert
jono
As we don't do 1-11 anymore then it doesn't matter to me. The only thing I'd say is that while you are at the club and in the squad you keep your number until you leave. Make a legend of the number yourself ! toddy
No.7 was always a wingers number, so it could be Ince, Russell or the bloke we spent a fortune on......
