Blimey!  £15M!!!  Can we expect £20M for Chris Martin then?

Mini-conspiracy theory to while away the morning.  Suppose these players are not being lifted from under our nose.  Suppose we are in fact pushing up prices by feigning interest in a bunch of players we really have no intention of buying?

Suppose a few most awesome names were suddenly revealed tonight, mere hours before the deeadline.

Anyway, back to work.

You'd make a great story writer, you had me sucked right in for a minute.

We don't seem to be a club that attracts players over our opponents any more.

This could be down to managers' stubbornness  (we haven't always endeared ourselves with our aggressive buying) or maybe even that we have a reputation as a soft touch with poor morale.

Who says Martin is going? For all we know, Ninos is just starting rumours because he hates him. Has he put his patio furniture up for sale yet? I think not.

Well there's certainly a few rumours about, but nothing as certain as Hendrick I agree. My dads down in London, I'll tell him to go to b&q and keep an eye out for him, we'll know once and for all then.

Which would make it hours rather than days ?

Depends in what aspect you are looking at the hours from, from an hourly basis over 24 hours is not really mere hours, but if expand it to the month then 24+ isn't mere but if you are looking at it from a since time began than 24+ hours is mere hours away.:lol:

It's just because Newcastle and Villa are big teams in the Championship. With the squads they had and the players they've brought in you'd expect them to be promoted. Most of the players they've brought, especially the Newcastle ones will be sold or loaned out again next season to championship teams.

We should begin scouting in Europe and South America hard now. Not casually as we do now. We should have a list of players ready for the next transfer window and from then on. This UK market is stupid now and if we don't in the future look to overseas markets then we can firmly say that we have a few incompetent figures at the club that must leave.

He has had one season in the championship having arrived from the French second division now he may prove to be terrific but he is a huge gamble and at £15 million extremely over priced. People talk about our exposure to FFP but Aston villa must be sailing mighty fine

To late, brexit has put pay to international scouting....

I genuinely doubt we ever officially had any interest in this chap.  Club has kept their identified targets very much in house as shown with the Vydra signing. (came out the blue and signed very quickly after)

Still firmly believe they'll be a couple more in-comings and names that haven't even been mentioned yet.
