Forest are strong down the flanks so you'd want your best defensive full-backs. If Ward had been fit, he'd have been in the XI. Dawkins has consistently been McClaren's favourite deputy for Ward. I think it would have been unfair to expect Ibe to make his debut (already a nerve-wracking experience) in such a powder-keg atmosphere. Also, he would have been targeted by the Forest defence. Hopefully, they will underestimate Dawkins and he can shin another one in like against Fulham. Also, have to say - we have a very attacking bench! Rizyx Posted September 14, 2014 Share Posted September 14, 2014 So far, shotton has been destroyed by antonio and just got booked so he could be sent off soon... poor choice by macca dawkins has been shocking, good positions and no end product keough has been a bag of revels, terrible passing but some good defending no one else really has stood out, hughes perhaps has been decent but getting bullied i cant believe IBE is on bench instead of dawkins....
