Thats approximately 30% more than I pay for my season ticket.
Think my ticket has gone up possibly £150 in the 25 years we have been at Pride Park.

The vast majority of season tickets are not that price at Pride Park.

I'd support Derby and have a ST in the Conference North, and it would be every bit as much worth it as a season in the Prem. It's about the support, not the 'product'.

    Give him your money?
You do realise he is putting £x £x million of his own money into the club to keep it afloat.
Do you think not putting your money in is going to help improve the squad that you think is already underfunded?

I honestly don’t care if it is a bunch of kids .. They are, or will be the Rams .. they get my support and I’ll be buying my season ticket even if we are down to 11 players and a number 12 plus a reserve goalie and in league 2. ….BUT … I will only buy my ticket when I can go to a stadium that is as close to functioning normally as is reasonably possible. I don’t want lotteries for games where only 5k can go and it’s masks and stewards and you can’t do this or you can’t do that as far as the eye can see. .. The thing about football and watching it live .. it’s about letting your hair down, forgetting all the every day stuff for a couple of hours, getting away from it, downloading with something simple and straight forward .. us V them, give it your all. And afterwards, either basking in the moment or deciding to pick yourself up and have another go next week. … So I am not waiting for a new owner or the EFL and Machiavelli to do their stuff.. que sera sera … but I am waiting for Covid to be kicked in to the long grass.

I support the Rams thick or thin. Ambition has nothing to do with anything they are my club and will go whether they are top of the Prem or bottom of Div 100.
That’s how I feel others may differ

Football is a Saturday afternoon with your brother or mates.
Football is about arguing about the team, the tactics, the players, the manager and the oppostion.
Football is the banter, the sounds, the smells(!!), the andrenaline of walking to the ground - it's an emotion of highs and lows within just 90 minutes, and the next week, whatever the previous result may be, you go again.
Once you have committed to a club, it's yours for life, whatever division the team plays in.
I'm 69 years of age, and next Easter Monday 2022, will be the 60th anniversary of the first time I watched Derby County, when my dear father and uncle took me and my brother to the Baseball Ground.
I've stood on terraces, in all weathers, sat on hard seats, been treated to the hospitality suite, and even played on Pride Park in a charity game and football have given me despair at time, but also much enjoyment over the years.
I even bought a season ticket when I was working overseas and only saw 4 home games a season for 3 years, but I still supported Derby County from afar.
Whatever division The Rams find themselves in next season, I will shout at them, criticise them, moan until I'm blue in the face, but I'll support them because they are my club from my home town.

Football is more than watching a game. You can do that on TV. But it’s the match day experience for me. Many a time the game is incidental but sometimes it’s all consuming. Meet your mates or go with family it’s where memories are made and if you don’t by a ticket what have you got?
What else are you going to do on a cold Tuesday night in February?

Did you have a season ticket in the infamous 11 points season? Turned over every week but the fans were still class, plus many still renewed for the following season!

Well,I've already bought this year's by virtue of buying it last season but i spent thirty years on shifts not being able to buy one so to be honest,I'll keep on subscribing, whichever division we are in,whilst i can.
I enjoy the whole experience not just the football served up.
And if we go into league 1,at least they will be cheaper.

It's not the doing it that is the issue, it's actually perfectly sensible. The issue was they way they put it in the statement on DCFC sanctions and then released both sets. The sensible and neautal approach would have been to add "the EFL note the disciplinry process against Derby County has not been concluded and a contingency situation has been prepared for if needed" has a far more professional tone than "we've got the fixtures all ready for when we get you!!!"

Just a thought but filing accounts is a legal requirement for HMRC. EFL, no matter who they think they are, do not have the same powers as HMRC so I'm not sure that, legally speaking, DCFC are obliged to re-file. They could generate a new set of accounts based on the preferred practises of the EFL for the EFL but legally, they're not allowed to instruct DCFC to re-submit accounts - only the HMRC can do that. Obviously they can do under the guise of membership to the league, etc but they don't have the legal standing to demand that sort of stuff.
And it is very obviously a set-up. As soon as the new accounts are submitted, based on 'normal' amortisation, then they'll come back at us and gives us a points deduction - they have to to save face. This is gonna rumble on for ages and as has been said, it's a massive cloud over the club for both us and potential signings. This is already damaging enough so there needs to be some mediation here to get it done and dusted.
The EFL are utterly feckless. Despite thinking they're hard and tough, they're just playing at it. If they really wanted to nip this whole thing in the bud then kick us out of the league to stop it happening again. At times, I think I'd rather than than this death by a thousand cuts.

I wasn't trying to suggest you didn't think Mel was passionate, I was just disagreeing with your praise of Leicester and there owners. I agree with you other points.
I would actually rather have Mel (2014 Mel) as an owner than Leicester's, at least he actually wanted Derby specifically. Leicester could have been any club, they didn't care about there history etc. The main difference between the two is that they've been on the opposite ends of the luck spectrum. I think the long term aim of Leicester's owners are to improve Thai football and use Leicester as a way to funnel Thai players into the PL. I know I'm getting away from your point ? but it just really annoys me the constant fawning over them.

If the owners were that good they would have repaid the local businesses inc St John’s Ambulance that got stiffed. Never even paid for the stadium they couldn’t afford .

I'd say Mel is (or was) very passionate, the only difference is when Leicester cheated the gamble paid off and when we did it (if we actually did) we we're unlucky. Leicester have been incredibly lucky on several occasions in recent years. If they got relegated in 14/15 they would be struggling in the Championship with there FFP problems.
It annoys the amount of praise Leicester's owners get. They don't own them just because they're such good people, they're main reason for owning them is just to use them as a form of sportswashing for Thailand. Just like Abu Dhabi use Man City

Is Leeds finishing 9th in their first season back in the premiership is also another strange stellar alignment, never to be repeated too? Just wanted to check what aspirations are acceptable and which are not ?
Let's be honest here. Nobody is suggesting that we're going to do a Leicester and top the Premiership, only that there are as many plausible reasons for us securing an owner who is a good fit, as not. We're probably due a change of luck anyway, for those that believe in such things.
Honestly, I think it's very odd that something so simple is such a massive stretch for you, but if a half empty glass is you tipple of preference, so be it. Perhaps pessimism is how you insulate yourself from the bumps in the road, who knows, but not everyone wants to think that way and no matter how dismissive you choose to be, it wont change the fact that you've been presented with arguments that are every bit as plausible as your own.
And FWIW, even if the possibilities being mooted were as outlandish as you portray, others will still dare to dream, irrespective of the outcomes and no matter how much anyone rubbishes the club or sneers at their relentless optimism. Why? Simply because for many, the dream is what being a supporter is all about.
