There are some more Derby clips on the BFI site. This one - https://player.bfi.org.uk/free/film/watch-fourth-round-english-cup-newcastle-united-v-derby-county-march-11-1911-1911-online - shows the Rams being led out by what looks like the great man himself, Steve Bloomer, so for once we can say we were watching him rather than the other way round.
Unfortunately, we lost the game 4- 0 and Derby fans were no doubt ruing the fact that Steve was picked ahead of Chris Martin....
Fascinating to see football from that era and and also the great man himself. Again like the 1939 game, many of the crowd crammed into St James Park would die in the war to end all wars a couple of years later. Must have been hard to see much in those days over the big flat caps and enormous Edwardian hats the woman wore. I wonder what is the earliest footage of Derby?

As many of us do, I thought I’d take a check on ticket sales.
It looks like there just over 3,200 still available. Morecambe seem to be bringing about 800 so, what are we looking at? In the region of 26,000?
Think you are about right. So if we keep selling about 350 a day, we may yet get up to our average of 27k, but very much depends on how many ST no shows there are.

I thought we had just signed him on loan from Spurs. Oops took a wrong turn, as you were.
-
Really thought I'd missed out as when each time I clicked on a seat it became unavailable! - very frustrating, but one popped up in another block and I managed to bag it last minute. phew! Worth keep looking as others I'm sure will appear.

One of my favourite away days. Back in the days when you could just turn up on the day, remember an article in The DET encouraging Derby fans to travel to Bramall Lane and we certainly did in great numbers. Absolutely packed in the terrace behind the goal and i recall hugging a random bloke when we scored, the same level of joy as at PV the other night!

Coming from behind
Wow, I have not seen the goals since I was at the game, sat in the B stand with my dad. I never realised it had been filmed. Definitely up there as one of the best games and atmosphere I have experienced. Just remember all four sides of the ground creating a crescendo of noise as Archie completed the come back. A real bright spot in quite a dark period for the club.

6526 seats left. A South Stand Upper/Lower Block and one block in the West not for sale.
Usual 2500 seats also never available (from a league game - Not sure how the separation eliminates so many!) - So I reckon we're something like:
Derby Tickets Purchased - 21,000
West Ham Fans - 5,400
So by Monday - maybe we can get 27k for this game realistically? Maybe Tuesday may have given a nudge to some people.
I think the attendance will be higher than you suggest as there shouldn't be very many season ticket no shows compared to a league game. Those ST holders not coming won't have bought a ticket.

I was stood just to right of the singing section and they did seem to start a lot of songs, but it certainly felt like many chants were starting organically all across the stand, singing two songs at the same time on occasions! What impressed me was the variety of songs sung, mostly backing our team rather than the boring and witless, 'football in a library' and 'I wanna go home' chants. Though I must admit, I enjoyed the 'who are you' chants aimed at those PV fans in the boxes who were giving us grief after they scored, so perhaps i have my boring and witless moments too.

If we can get near sell out for League games against Accrington Stanley then why can't we for West Ham. It's the fourth round of the FA Cup and we could beat these with good backing from the crowd
I think it would have sold out if we had played Saturday, but it is a bit of a ball ache for those of us out of the county to get to after work on a Monday night. Nevertheless I will be there and I still think we will get a decent crowd of 25k plus. Should still be a good atmosphere. What have we sold so far 22k?

I have to confess, I’ve watched Derby at Wembley 4 times…….. Anglo Italian Cup final (Cremonese?), Play offs versus Leicester, QPR and Villa - lost all 4.
The only games at Wembley I’ve missed….. FA Cup final v Charlton, Charity Shield v West Ham and Play Off v WBA……. Won them all.
Financial bribes not to go this year if we get there invited ?
Me too, fancy going for a pint on Playoff Final day (nowhere near Wembley)

Just goes to show no one is that interested in West Ham. ?
Seriously though, I attend to watch Derby not the opposition. I’m not star struck by premier league teams or their players.
I was there for the last round against Barnsley but I can’t make it on Monday night. Even if I could, I wouldn’t be thinking wow West Ham are in town.
Financially, and for the backing of the team, it would be good to have a big crown though.
You'd be the king of Tamworth then

Thought the played ok up to the 18 yard box but didn’t really threaten Wildsmith at all
It took them 73 mins for the first shot on target straight at Wildsmith if I recall correctly. Couple of wild efforts over the bar was about all they offered. As has been said, 2.1 really flattered them.

Dave, the payment still in process message often hangs after I have completed a ticket purchase but the transaction has always gone through. Check your inbox - if you have the confirmation email, the purchase is complete.
Same thing happened to me when buying my Port Vale Ticket, but I received an e-mail confirmation and the ticket arrived this week.

Pity, Tim Brooke Taylor was a Ram in real life, he passed away a couple of years back… bloody Covid…
Remember watching the Goodies as a kid and being so pleased when he mentioned us. Also remember when he was on this is Your Life and the Derby team at the time (early 80s) rode in on three seater bikes at the end.
